i'm a little heavier now but thats me

I know this is probably late, but did anyone hear the rumor about being able to get into free at Disney if its ur birthday? My BF told me he read it in the paper but he didnt bring the article home so i didnt believe him.:rotfl:

Hey MeMom!!! Just checking in with you!!! I hope your having a good week!

Hey Jill!!! I can't believe you will be down there before you know it!!! You guys have fun for us and please take lots and lots of pictures of the party!!! I am really sorry we are missing it this year!:sad2: I wanted soooo bad to see the characters around my favorite ride, The Haunted Mansion!

Wow, been gone a couple of days and I come home to "free ticket on your birthday"
Too bad that my bday is in July and we're going in June:sad2:

my birthday's in july too and i would rather pay for a park ticket than go in the summer heat with the crowds! our september trip was soooooooo hot and humid - i can't imagine what it's like in july!

by the way, i bought tickets today for disney on ice!!!! i can't wait!!!

I hope you enjoy it! Jill and I were talking about going to a different one down in Huntsville that has Little Mermaid, Lilo and Stitch, Peter Pan, and 101 Dalmations.

That is too funny!

Cannibal sing some dodge. That's why she fits in with us so well. Makes absolutely no sense, yet we totally get it.

Gas has been pretty scarce in our neck of the woods the past week or so.

It's supposed to ease up by the end of the week. Let's hope that is true.

I thought I heard something about the gas problem on the news last night, but I was just passing through our living room and didn't really stop to watch. Here's hoping that the problem ends really soon for you guys!

That was probably us they were talking about, and it's dipping toward Atlanta, too.

MeMom,

I'm thoroughly enjoying your baby and the tramp TR's (I had no idea how MANY trips they would cover when I started, how FUN) and came across the picture of you and Brooklyn in Bruce's mouth and I just wanted to say I think you are beautiful on the outside too! (you also have an amazing heart by the way and I love our outlook on life) I would love to see more pics with you in them.

The part where I am at in your previous TR has a lot of discussion about how the Dis feels like friends when we mostly don't know each other in person at all. I lurk more than I comment but it sure is fun to feel like a part of the friendships that have grown here. thanks everyone for sharing your lives with me:grouphug:

(Is K Reile still reading your TR's? I know her comments I have been reading are from last spring but I have been watching her baby ticker and wondering how she is feeling and if that baby has made his/her arrival yet)

I have always hated having my picture taken - skinny, fat, long hair, short hair, feeling good, feeling bad - no matter what.

I'm glad you feel at home here. I think it would be fun for everyone on the report to be able to have a big meet someday, and I think it would almost have to be out by the bowling pin pool. That would just seem so right for this report.

I'm glad k_reile updated you. She and I have PMed several times lately about her upcoming bundle of joy. We'll keep our prayers going for her to have an easy delivery, and we know this will be a perfect little boy for her and her husband.

Wow, I can't believe its so hard to find gas. I guess I have always taken gas for granted. I hope the problem clears up soon. I hope all the Dis'ers can get to work tomorrow.

I think we all do take about anything for granted until it's scarce or not there at all. It's good for us to go through not having things in order to appreciate the times that we do have them.

Many of our stations have been out of gas for a couple of weeks now (since the hurricane). If a station does have gas the price is still outrageous, most around $4.50. Its ridiculous! My husband had an especially hard time finding premium gas in our area. The Shell stations actually announced around the time the hurricane was set to hit that they would not be purchasing gas at all until the price went down.

In other odd news, Travis Barker and DJ AM are in the hospital that is about 5 minutes from our house. We were just in that same hospital's emergency room a few nights ago for my sons high fever.

That's a crazy price for gas, for sure. We paid $3.99.

I heard about those guys, but I don't really know who they are. I know they're famous in some way, though. I hope your son is all better. Sorry to hear he had a high fever. That's scary!

We are glad to have you in our group. I hope you'll continue to join us.

Another great update---loved the picture of the empty tables!!! Can't wait to see what adventure awaits you at.........AKL???????? ;o)

I like pictures of empty anything in WDW. I'll start the AKL update tonight. Tuesday evenings are usually good for me to take time for posting pictures.

I was a few updates behind, but all caught up now! Wonderful updates...yummmmmmy Main Street Bakery! I look forward to that meal.

There are many good things to choose from. You'll probably need to go more than once!

I'm still around....and no baby yet. I techically am due on Thurs but I really hope he comes before then....my back is starting to hurt. I have a doctors appt this afternoon....so hopefully I will get a better idea of when he is coming. Thanks for asking.

We've got a baby watch going! We'll be thinking of you and hoping everything goes perfectly.

that is my "I am in a hurry post."

that is crazy about the gas.

And all this time I thought you really liked our pictures. :snooty:

I was always creeped out by the zebra-devouring scene in the Jungle Cruise too! Poor guy.
The pictures of Brooklynn watching the the castle show are too cute! :cutie:

Some days she's pretty cute. When she's in Disney World, somehow, she gets even cuter. I think that is true for every little kid..and big kid.

Hey MeMom, I was at an apple festivel yesterday and I saw a car with a Tenn. plate on it and I thought of you. I feel bad for all of you with gas shortages we don't have that around here in Omaha. Love the picture in the update with Sully in the chair so cute. Only 84 more days until I head off to the World. I am so excited.

I wish it had been us at the apple festival. That would have been fun!

Don't you love those countdown numbers going down, down, down. We're in the low 60's for our Thanksgiving trip.

Memom, great Main Street Pictures. I love Main St. Did you notice the Hidden Mickeys on the leather gear of the horse pulling the trolley. I think that's so cool. I love the detail.

And we do the same thing you guys do. We're always talking about you guys as though we've known each other forever. Isn't it fun making new friends, even if you've never met them in person?

Cathy

Yes, we did see the Mickeys, and you are right, it is cool how they put those everywhere. We enjoy looking for them. I'd like to spend more time looking for them, but there is too much to do and so little time to do it.

Dis friends are awesome, and I hope one day we can all meet up.

Thank you so much for your prayers and your offer to help with the tears. I will be sure to visit DISboards that night.

We arent going until the end of August. Aug. 24-Sept. 4. fingers crossed for free dining! Too bad we aren't going to be there at the same time. I would love to meet you and the rest of the MeMom clan!

We'll be here for you.

Sorry our trips won't overlap in August. I'll be back in school by then. Boo for me.

I hope you get good news this afternoon. I remember that lovely back pain about 2 nights before I had Brooklynn. Hope everything goes well and we can't wait to hear the news when the little guy arrives.

Like mother, like daughter. I'm sure Brooklynn will thank us for this in about twenty-odd years when she is going through the same thing.

I got back from WDW on Saturday and was happy to see that there were lots of new updates here on the Magic Camel! I've spent the last hour or so catching up and it's definitely helping me with my post Disney blues. Your photos always make me feel like I am right there, riding Snow White or Pooh or Dumbo right along with you. :goodvibes I also really enjoyed seeing your Disney on Ice photos. Looks like it was a fun show!

I want to hear all about your trip! I cannot wait to be there again!

No change...not progressing. So they are having me go in Wed night and be admitted to start a procedure that is to enlarge my cervix and then take it out Thurs morning and give me pitocin to induce me. So hopefully it works because I amm sooo ready to have this baby. So hopefully sometime thurs this baby will be here.

And Memom....once we get home from the hospital...I will try to figure out how to upload photos so that I may share them with you.

We definitely will have you on our minds on Wednesday night, and we will be very happy when we see Caleb's sweet little face. You did decide for sure on Caleb, right?

HI MeMom and Brooklynns Mommy. i am all caught up to the trip report. I just got back from my wonderful vacation in Italy. It is really sad to be back.. probably b/c I know I will be back to Disney.. I don't know if I will ever be back to Italy. Maybe one day...
Anyway - Brooklynns Mommy - Your ultrasound picture is amazing. Congratulations.

I know that had to be so awesome! I hope you are planning on sharing with us!

wow thats crazyness...i cant believe it...i've only seen it that bad back around Hurricane Charlie (and the others) in florida and even then i dont that bad. Did u guys end up getting gas? Were you able to fill up?

We did. We paid $3.99.

Question asked and answered, thanks to our good Dis friends!

She's halfway excited.
No, she's all the way excited!

We're having an okay week. It's nice having a student teacher in a lot of ways, because it gives me more time to do my secretarial work.

Wow, been gone a couple of days and I come home to "free ticket on your birthday"
Too bad that my bday is in July and we're going in June:sad2:

I'll be there on my July birthday, but since I'll have an AP, it won't matter. But, the information says I'll be getting a gift card to spend on that day, so that'll be great!

my birthday's in july too and i would rather pay for a park ticket than go in the summer heat with the crowds! our september trip was soooooooo hot and humid - i can't imagine what it's like in july!

It's hot, but it's fun! November and December last year were the best weatherwise. It was very nice not to be sweating all the time. If I had someone to go with me, I'd love to take a four day Christmas break trip so that I could go into each park for a day just to take Christmas pictures.

I plan on making it to Cannibal Sing Some Dodge (or a resort that resembles that) tonight, so I'll see you all then.

I had to pop in before I leave...I check the Dis compulsively, I think it's a sickness. I'm leaving early for my 11:30 class so I can go to the library and study my bum off some more for a map quiz...I haven't had one of those since eighth grade. I'm trying to get all my gen ed classes out of the way first, so I have all the good early childhood classes to look forward to!

Have a good day MeMom! :goodvibes By the way, how has Jill been feeling? I am hoping for an easy pregnancy for her.

Hey punkin,

I live from FL and we go to Disney in the summer and it is HOT, but of course Disney World is the same temperature as outside my house. So for me I'm used to it. I didn't say I enjoyed just, I'm used to it. I'm from NY so FL took some getting use too. When I first came here 2 years ago, I had a hard time adjusting to the heat. So I would tell my to embrace the heat, feel the wonderful FL sun melting off my face. Enjoy this wonderful Florida heat that feels like an oven. It's just terrific. LOL. As you can tell I do not really like living here, just use to the sweltering heat. :goodvibes

Hello Memom and Jill,

Ok, I have read all of you trip reports now I am caught up. Hey Jill, congrats on your pregnancy, that is such great news Brooklynn will be a great big sister. I feel like I know the both and you and Brooklynn too( of course). I look forward to reading about your future trips, lucky you - I live 2 hrs away and I do not next time I will be there and you got some of your trips booked already, awesome. Memom you have really taken wonderful pictures, you will have great memories to share with your grandchildren. God Bless, you seem to have a terrific family, would you like another daughter, I have 2 boys, (more grandchilden for you lol) Have a great day. :)

Have a good day at school today. I love reading about your Disney adventures to start the day.

I start my days on the Dis, too!

It's a DISease!

With the exception of a day or two, Jill has done fine.

Are you there for a job? I used to live in St. Pete, and I loved it there. The only time I really didn't like it was at Christmas. I liked coming to TN for a cold Christmas.

Maybe one day we'll be there at the same time. We'll never have another year like last year, I don't think, but we'll still try to make it at least twice (and maybe three times, if we're very lucky) a year.

nope do not like your pics. I LOVE your pics.

I feel better now. :)

And with that, we will head to Animal Kingdom Lodge.

IMG_1669.jpg

Brooklynn is a pool hopper. None of the rest of us pool hop. We don't take chairs if it is busy. We don't even stay if it is busy. But if there is room for a two year old to play for a few minutes in the water to cool off and relax for a little while in between parks while her Mommy rests and her MeMom wanders the resort taking pictures and buying things from the gift shop, then Brooklynn does so. I doubt we will do it much longer, though, because right now she's really too little to know we're sort of breaking rules. By next summer, we will stop doing this, because we don't really want her to remember that she ever did it.

Jill watched Brooklynn.

IMG_1672.jpg

I wandered and took pictures.

These are authentic African Lay's chips. ;)

I made my way through the underbrush.

I enjoy seeing the AKL animals, and I'd like to stay there someday.

Information boards.

IMG_1709.jpg

IMG_1711.jpg

I wonder if I could claim that staying at AKL would be an educational pursuit and have the school cover it????

I'd also like to eat here someday.

IMG_1706.jpg

Back to the animals.

IMG_1708.jpg

And Brooklynn was through in the pool.

IMG_1710.jpg

Next - a few pictures of the gift shop and food court.

that sounds like tons of fun! and there wouldnt be any scenes that u didnt recognize

i totally agree, i'll have to plan my trip around one of ur many trips...besides my BF owes me (he stills feels bad about not stopping on the way up)

By next summer, we will stop doing this, because we don't really want her to remember that she ever did it.
except for by the time she is able to DIS on her own, she'll pull up the archives (or look at photo albums which im sure you have plenty of) and think to herself 'those were the good days'

I wonder if I could claim that staying at AKL would be an educational pursuit and have the school cover it????
maybe only if u bring a few students along

Around AKL.

A shirt I almost bought Brooklynn.

IMG_1714.jpg

Nicole and David will recognize this stuff. (David is lime green because his sister is lime green.)

IMG_1719.jpg

I am very upset that I cannot find my AKL pen. I bought a pack of three and put two in with David's hat when I sent it to Nicole. I kept one, and I have used it at school a thousand times. Now, all of the sudden, I can't find it, and I am grieving over my pen that reminds me of the lovely lodge and my Dis friends. I know I'll be buying another pack when I go in November.

Detail in the firepit chairs. Hearing the storyteller is another thing I want to do some evening.

IMG_1712.jpg

That was it for Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I don't need to tell you that zebra domes were purchased and eaten.
That's a given for me.

We caught the bus back to Animal Kingdom to switch over to a Pop bus.

We did get a seat.

IMG_1720.jpg

Back at Pop, food was purchased as we headed to the room for some rest.

IMG_1722.jpg

Brooklynn got a head start on her rest.

IMG_1723.jpg

Rumor had it that declansdad was looking for me in pictures, so...

IMG_1725.jpg

After naps, there was more swimming.

IMG_1727.jpg

A couple of shirts I had purchased for Trent and Drew.

The evening will find us at Hollywood Studios.

When i have special disney pens i dont even want to use it for fear that i might lose it (or someone will steal it from me) but i usually end up saving 1 and using the others

Brooklynn got a head start on her rest.

I have a picture similar to that of my Nephew(9). We went to sixflags for a day and he was SO tired when we came back. It was about 8 when we left and as soon as we got into the car he was out of it. The problem is he has medicine he has to take with food. So we went to BK and got him some nuggets. We kept trying to wake him up, but he just could not wake up. I had to cut up the nuggest and feed them to him while he was sleeping. It was so darn cute. I hated to disturb him, but he HAD to take his medicine.

The french fry pic is the cutest photo ever.

Great pictures from the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I need to plan a day next time at Disney just to resort-hop.

Brooklynn is such a cutie at the pool.
