Thanks for the update! I just loved the flower pictures! Such a good idea. Very cute earrings too!

Earrings are about the only jewelry I wear, so I enjoy making that fun. I actually had enough flower pictures to do a second collage, and I may still do that later. I'm just thinking about it first, since I don't want to overdo a good thing.

I have a port orleans keychain and a lime green mickey head but I need to change it for a yellow one when I go.

That's nice. Everytime you use your keys, you can transport back to POR for a minute and be sitting out by the pretty river or hanging out at Old Man Island or munching down on something good at Boatwright's.

Any reason to go back is a good one. Gas prices and the higher cost of groceries are killing me right now, though. Between just coming back from the ten day trip, buying tickets for Disney on Ice in Nashville for September, Brooklynn's upcoming birthday, a new refrigerator, and the higher cost of everything in general, I am broke. As much as I want to go for the Halloween events, I guess I should be glad I am not going again until Thanksgiving.

They said on the news that that guy had 76 rounds of ammunition, and his plan was to shoot until the police showed up and killed him. Members of the church wrestled him to the ground, however, and held him until police came. It is a traumatic event, and my heart goes out to all of those involved, especially the kids. I can't imagine how much they will be affected by this. They will surely lose a lot of their trust and feelings of security for a long time to come.


Back to the trip:

When we got back to the room, I took a walk around the resort.

I had been asked by someone on the POP questions board to get pictures of the locker rooms and laundry facilities. These are probably not going to thrill those of you who have been there, but they might help some of those who have not or who might be going and are interested in how the laundry rooms are.

An elevator picture.

I hate elevators. I'd much rather walk up or down stairs, but I have to baby my bad leg sometime, so I relented and took the elevator. Little did I know, I would be resorting to the elevator in a big way as the trip went on.

It made me sad that they weren't with us.

so sad about that man shooting up the church. you have to wonder what people are thinking? i always am just baffled at how stupid someone can be. then my favorite judge reminds me that they probably wouldn't be in court for a criminal charge in the first place if they had any common sense!

great pictures!!! i plan on visiting petals this next trip at least once for a late-night treat. you're making me more excited about our trip in 36 days!!!!!!! i bought the stuff for my countdown poster today and i plan on working on it this weekend.

i don't know why i got excited about this, but i did! this was our room during our may 2007 trip!!!

I had almost decided to be responsible and not. However, then I see all your great pictures from Pop (which is where we would stay), and I want to go so badly!!!

39 days till I am at CBR and would you like to know a secret. SSHH don't tell, I am also going for a solo trip the weekend of 10/17 - 10/20 for the Ip-Dip fest. Meeting Buzz, Linnie, MrsKsomeday and a few others. Oh and I am staying at POP then.

so 39 days till next trip and then 80 days till my other next trip.

We were really spoiled by staying at the BC last September, but I'm telling ya, the Pop looks really fun! I would definitely like to stay there!

You are welcome. So many of you brighten my days very often, as well.
In November, we're going to be at Music again. I think we've decided that Pop will be our summer home and Music will be our winter home!

I think for the most part people like that are just very, very sick. I wish he could have gotten the help he needed before it came to this. It's sad for everyone involved, including him and his family.

Yep, I noticed the Mickey bubbles right away. No wonder we are brainwashed into the Disney cult. The subliminal magic is everywhere!

Thanks for the good luck. We'll need it. TN schools don't do so well under NCLB. As with much of the country, we have felt it has been more No Teacher Left Standing. I did get a lot accomplished today, so it was a good day.

I'm glad I could promote Pop, because we've always had good experiences there. I hope everyone that we've referred does, too. You do have to remember, though, that we haven't done deluxes and DVC resorts, and only Jill and John have done two moderates. I'm easy to please, so I hope all of you don't end up being disappointed.

I didn't know that. That's good to hear. A plus for the values. I do want to stay deluxe someday, and I'm sure that day will come in time. We loved going over to BC and eating at Beaches and Cream on this trip. What a cute, quaint little place!

We have missed seeing those tie-dyed shirts, too. They always make me think of Pop anyway. It's okay to be a lurker sometime. You can't possibly respond to everything you read every time. We're always glad to have your comments, though, when you have the time.

On the homefront, we're preparing for Brooklynn's birthday next month. When asked how old she will be, she holds up one finger and says, "Four!" (pronounced 'foe-a') She knows it has something to do with a number, but she just doesn't quite know which one!

She has gone to a bounce party tonight, and Jill said she's been practicing her jumping all over the house. She said she'll walk a few steps and jump. I'm sure it's pretty cute. I'm sure she is having a wonderful time with all of her little friends bouncing all over the place tonight.
