Love the Earth Day picture. I am sure it will brighten your classroom, and your spirit each day with Disney pixiedust.
I'm counting on that! I'll share some more classroom information at the end of this post.
I would love that too. I am also a teacher so, I have to work around my schedule. It does make it easier to go for a short weekend since I only live a 2 1/2 hours away.
Lucky you! I would love to be just that far away. When I lived in St. Pete, it was nothing to drive over and have some fun. Still, even at 10+ hours, I'd go down for a long weekend just about any time I could talk someone into going with me, as long as my bank account was in agreement.
Good Morning Mom! Loved the pics of Brooklyn in Crystal Palace! Just precious!
So glad when I get to see you!
You mean in pictures or in real life?
How did that big Dis meet go this weekend?
AWESOME pics MeMom! I have been lurking along for the ride and just LUVIN' it!!! Shopping pics are from Emporium, right? Also, just absolutely love the CP pics with your lil' doll!!! She's so beautiful! We never had dinner at CP, always book a CP breakfast....now you have me thinking!
Yep - we started at Casey's and just worked our way to the front, weaving in and out of aisles and people, as everyone else was.
Those pics are why we love CP. We went on our first trip and its now a family tradition.
Hope you don't mind if I share this one:
Not only do I
not mind, it's so cute I felt like posting it again!!!
I love this photo! What a great message from a great little guy!
Is that inside The Land?
Yeah, but I can't remember exactly where. I think it's on that same wall with all of the Pumbaa/Circle of Life signs.
Great Pictures Memom -- I love the one where Brooklynn is kissing piglet ... too cute..
I had the same question as Punkin - I had my picture taking with Marie back in April, but I did not know who she was...
I have the red and black kitchen stuff, but it is very poorly made. My bowls have scratches all over them.. I also have three stainless wine stoppers, stanless steel bottle opener, martini glasses.... apron, oven mits, kitchen towels, bowls, flipper, spoons, spoon holder.... lol There is probably more. -- that is all I really have though.. I still have my dolls from when I was a kid, but have not purchased any since I was 17.
oh -- then there are the ornaments -- probably am at 50 now... hee hee.
For whatever reason, when Piglet came, she just said, "Kiss da mouf." He heard her and leaned in, and she started searching underneath all that pink for a mouth. It was pretty cute.
You guys should just go buy the movie to add to your collection. Marie has brothers, Berlioz and Toulouse. It's cute, and I remember seeing it many years ago. It's fun now to watch it with a new generation.
I almost bought the measuring cups this time. I picked them up four or five times, but I so rarely use measuring cups that I decided against it. I'm one of those cooks who works by sight and taste. There are a very few recipes that call for exactness, and I'll drag out the cups and spoons for those, but it is not very often. It'll probably be like the cat bowl - I'll look at them for three years and then give in!
I spent the morning buying myself out of my Disney depression to a small degree. I needed to go to the school supply store before all the other teachers bought all the good stuff out, so I did that. I'm not ready to think about school, but it was time to face it, at least in this aspect. I had decided I would use my Safari Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore on my outside bulletin board this year. They are so cute with their little hiking sticks and hats and backpacks. I got them at Animal Kingdom a year or two ago. Anyway, I found letters in animal prints like zebra, lion, cheetah, and such. My bulletin board will welcome the third graders (and me) with a subtle Disney touch.
For my inside board, my informational board (news and notes, calendar, etc.), I found a poster that reminds me of Finding Nemo, so I got that.
Then I found a class mailbox that is decorated with a bunch of countries' sayings and stamps, so it reminded me of Epcot. Into the bag it went, of course!
Again, I will make it subtle. I don't want to offend anyone or be too overpowering, but these things will just help me keep going without standing out to anyone else.
Then I went over to the
Disney Store to look for Brooklynn something for her birthday. They were having a good sale on many items, so I got her two little shirts, some Little Mermaid dinnerware, and a Baloo bear to go with the Jungle Book II DVD I got her. They also had adult dinnerware on sale, so I got two of those huge white Mickey plates, two utensil holders, two Mickey and his barbeque grill salt and pepper sets, and two Mickey picnic placemats - one of each for Jill and me. On top off all that, I got one of those pirate loot bags that you stuff with coins and jewels for a dollar. We're going to have a Pirates and Princesses party in the future, so that'll be perfect! All of that stuff, Brooklynn's included, was about fifty dollars, so I was happy.
It was acting like it was going to storm really big, so I headed home. It has calmed down now, though. It was probably just God telling me to get home and stop spending money!!!
