A Tale of Two Cm's!

Hello.....I have been planning our vacation (April23- May2) .....like many of you...looking for codes...Disney Visa offers.... etc. I sent for the D/V quick as I could and got it in a week... I called and all that was available with the visa offer (last week) was P.O. at 89$ a night... a good deal!.....but my wife and son had their heart set on CSR.....I know many people love P.O. and this is not a slight on that beautiful resort.....CBR was also offered... king bed only, which would have done us no good. Frustrated I booked P.O. The last five years I have not had to pay rack rates for this time of year thanks to these boards and the great people so willing to help!......Well I did not give up!.....I called and inquired the other day and got a CM that was not only unfriendly but was also very unknowledgeable about the 7/4 visa offer which by the way begins May 1st.....she kept insisting you had to have a special code that came with the card ( which you do not ).... I then asked to check for availability for CSR ....she then said in a snippy way there was nothing available ... frustrated I hung up. (when you spend as much money as many of us and I don't want to sound like a spoiled baby not getting his way but you want to do everything you can to make your family happy... after all, Disney vacations while being the greatest are costly and I expect friendly service and knowledgeable CM'S).......at this point I became very depressed and resigned myself to our fate...but then I remembered what someone on these boards said...... "keep trying"....well I then immediately called back and had a CM named Lenore............. night and day difference from the last CM.....I asked to check on the 7/4 visa offer.... she was very pleasant and put me on hold while she called Bank One....she came back and said while we did qualify, it did not begin until May 1st.....I then told her that we really wished to stay at CSR and gave her my dates.... I told her if we could spend a portion at CSR i.e. the last 4-5 days that would be great.... but I did not expect much.....once again she checked and there was no availabilty.....but then she suggested that maybe we should try for the first part of our trip...... (at this point I told her I was willing to pay rack rates).... well what do you know........she came back and not only got us the first 5 days but also with the visa discount of 104$ a night (waterview was only available)........she was so nice and helpful and my faith in mankind has been restored..........the morale of the story........keep trying!.......sorry for being so long winded.........Bob

Bob I'm so glad things worked out for you. I know what it's like to have the dream vacation planned in your head only to have the dream dashed!! Have a great time at CSR. The pool looks incredible!!!

It has been mentioned so many times on these boards, and I have a hard time taking this advice myself, but if you get a cm who is rude/unhelpful/without knowledge, hang up and call back!!

Bob, your story illustrates this so well. Glad you had a happy ending!!
