A Surprise Spring Break Trip filled with Fun and Sun!

We had cinnamon crumb cake, hashbrown casserole, sausage, bacon, biscuits, and it seems like I am missing something else because there was so much food!! We ate until we were stuffed!
Any trip which begins with biscuits is destined for greatness.

Got all caught up and am loving your TR. Your photos are Fantastic! The dawn in the MK shots were just amazing.
:thumbsup2

Oh my gosh!! Love the picture of Ben in the pool with his shirt!! :rotfl2:
I absolutely loved the drawing at HS!! I did it twice this trip and can't wait to see who I can't draw again :rotfl: Actually the second time Michelle (Soonergirl) was in the same class :goodvibes

Looks like a fun evening. We hope to do this when the girls are a little older.

Fabulous pictures from Hoop Dee Doo! I've never been interested in trying it, but your photos make me want to go, the kids look like they are having a blast!

You really do need to try it Michelle. The boys would get a kick out of it. It's silly and fun!

We definitely enjoyed the Hoop De Do! The food was "okay" I liked the chicken and the salad, the sides not so much, but the sangria hit the spot, and the entertainment was the real reason for the trip. So that said, we had fun! It looks like your crowd is having fun too :)

That sangria is yummy! I had it last summer and John had it this time so I sipped a little of his. I agree about the food, not the best but certainly not the worst. We like the chicken and the potatoes, salad. I don't like the beans but John does. Yep, the entertainment is key and we all had a great time!

Great pictures! The HDDR looks like a lot of fun. Something else we need to try someday!

Thanks Sarah! You really should give it a try. It's great fun!!

Thanks for the pics of the HDDR! We're headed there next week---first time for any of us. Hopefully it'll be a lot of fun. :)

I hope you guys enjoy yourself as much as we did! I'm betting you'll have a blast!:thumbsup2

Well How-diddly-doodly my friend! I've been in and out so much of late that somehow your TR slipped through the cracks. I'm just now reading your first post & reveal post, but loving it already. I'll be caught up in a bit and shall return! Love the photos so far BTW. Oh, and THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for chapter links. I LOVE Those!

Off to :surfweb:

Well howdy there!! I'm so glad that you found me!!
Thanks on the photos! I have nice cameras and need to learn how to use them!!:rotfl:

The sky was just so pretty that morning in MK. The pictures don't even really do it justice. I wish they had 7 am EMH all the time!!

No worries about staying caught up...I can't stay caught up on my own, much less on others...:goodvibes

He loved puffing his shirt up like that...he's a character!
I'm glad you liked the drawing class! That is so cool that you and Michelle were in the same class!! What characters did you draw?

Oh yes, it was short lived, whatever it was. Ellie wears her heart on her sleeve so it could've even been a look of some sort. My sweet girl is just so sensitive.:goodvibes

We had a fantastic time. Even better than last summer-at least Ellie (who had stomach troubles) and I (who was dealing with said stomach troubles) did. Ben would eat here every trip if he could! You guys will love it when you decide to go!!

Finishing up our day...
We left Fort Wilderness and took the boat to Magic Kingdom. The time was
DSC_0270-1.jpg

We walked in and hit Mickey's Philharmagic because we didn't do it the day before. Loved it, as always!

People were already staking a spot for Spectro so we decided to do so as well. We sat around the hub, near the Walt and Mickey statue. After we were already seated they made the area where we were sitting the handicapped section. We asked if we needed to move and they said no, that the wheelchairs would just be behind us. We were seated near a family and we were each respecting each other's space. As often happens, right before parade time some other people come and think that they deserve the same view as those of us that have been sitting there for over an hour...:confused3 We just scooted over and Ellie ended up sitting on mine and John's lap. The lady next to us, however, was not as accomodating and ended up saying something to someone...
Once the parade started we just enjoyed ourselves. I love me some Spectro but am looking forward to MSEP this summer!!
These balloons were neat-the inside lit up. The price tag was not neat though! Needless to say, despite several askings by two cute kidlets, we did not get one!

My camera battery was dying and I'd only brought one camera with me so I didn't take that many pictures.
After Spectro, we stood up (which felt soooo good) and waited for Wishes. Again, love this and get teary eyed each time but am excited for something new this summer!

One disappointment-Tink didn't fly! We've never seen her so we were sad.:sad2:

I told John that we needed to go get some ice cream or something and let the mass of people exit. There were EMH's this night so some people headed back into the park but the bulk of folks headed out. It was an adventure getting the few steps over to the ice cream parlor but we made it without incident. The line wasn't that long at all. We grabbed our ice cream and Ben got a drink (he doesn't eat ice cream, cake, cookies, or chocolate.:scared1:) I got a root beer float.:cloud9: We meandered out and noticed they were taking folks out the back way, down the path beside Plaza. We jumped at the chance to go behind the scenes!! Most of the crowd had gone and so we just walked along. I was dreading the wait for a bus but we got out there and no one was there with a bus sitting there! :woohoo: We hopped on and headed back to WL and our beds. Another wonderful Disney day!:goodvibes

Up next: The day I was looking forward to the most-Epcot and Flower & Garden festival!:yay:

Whew, I was behind! All caught up now(:
Great Hoop Dee Doo pics! I love the performers there
Too bad Tink didn't fly, bummer. I've never seen her fly either...

Oh, sorry you missed Tink - she's really cool! There's always next time :thumbsup2

I thought those balloons that lit up were neat too, but never checked the price - how bad was it???

I am really excited about seeing F&G pictures. We saw very little of it this year. It was hot and the little girls were tired and we still had to get over to Hollywood to dress Bo and get pictures for Happydogs kids. Things just weren't working in our favor. Don't hold back on the Flower and Garden pictures! Show me everything I missed!

hi, i'm a bit late but caught up today, your photo's are great:thumbsup2...showed my mum the one's from crystal palace and think we're now confrirmed its on our 'definite' list for our next trip! Hoop De Due Revue looked like a lot of fun!

Loving Ellie's Mickey bracelet:cool1:

Looking forward to more posts, now that i've discovered disboards the countdown to a holiday would be so long without reading trip reports!

Ugh, that is frustrating when people decide to come last minute for the parade.

I think it's so cool that the Electrical Parade is coming this summer! Some people are mad that it's not going to be Spectromagic but isn't it fun to see something different? I wish I could see it.

Those are pretty neat balloons but I can't imagine the price.

Sorry you missed Tink, too, but I am sure she will be part of the show this summer, I can't imagine they wouldn't include her? Or someone flying! We'll have to wait for the debut! I agree, I am going to miss Spectro and Wishes... I gotta get a CD with this on it! Anyone know what CD had both?

So your evening at MK is perfect!!! Love the fun of just going in for the parade and fireworks, so nice not to feel frantic about getting attractions, etc. Phillharmagic and the carousel are my favorite attractions when we get there late.

Great post! Can't wait for EPCOT!!!!!! :thumbsup2

The performers at HDDR are great! Some were the same as last summer but some were different. The one guy is also one of the captains (or used to be) on the Pirates and Pals cruise.
I was really looking forward to Tink...not sure if she'll be there for Summer Nightastic.:confused3

Hopefully Tink will be there this summer...I haven't read anything about it.
Those balloons were $16! Too much in my book for a balloon-even in Disney!

Hi and Welcome!! Thanks so much for joining in!:yay: Trip reports are addicting, aren't they?? I have so many that some I just read and post a little but I still enjoy reading along and seeing the pictures!

CP is a blast and you'll love going there. We've done both meals there and enjoyed both.

Ellie's bracelet is cool! I'd like one too except chunky things like that bother me when I write and type.

We've mostly had good luck with parade people but our luck ran out this time. Some folks just don't get it...

I am excited for MSEP! I agree, it's totally neat to see something new and different. Are you not going to be there in the summer?

The balloons were $16 which I think it just way to much for a balloon!

We were bummed about Tink. I don't know if she'll be there this summer or not??:confused3

I will miss Spectro and Wishes but am excited for something new too! I'm not sure about the music...I know there is a Wishes CD but don't know if it has Spectro on it. We have a CD with MSEP on it though so we'll be ready!

I really liked going in just for a bit and then seeing fireworks and parade. I'm thinking we'll do it that way again next month.

Epcot, or part of it anyways, coming up tonight!

Wednesday April 7th-Epcot!!
I was so excited to be able to go to Flower and Garden Festival!
We woke up, grabbed a bite to eat in the room, and headed to the bus stop. We got to Epcot in plenty of time and made our ways to our respective ropes. John and the kids head to Test Track. Me, I am the designated FP runner.
These fellas were out front

Our plan was to meet up at the golf ball and ride SE. So, I meandered looking for topiaries. Found some!
IMG_0339-1.jpg

John and the kids were not too far behind me and we hopped on to SE (no wait). We all like this and it's one of Ellie's faves!

IMG_0955.jpg

I leaned over the seat and got one of John and Ben's futures!

The kids played for a few minutes at the exit games.

Then they and John headed here

The day before, somewhere we ate or shopped (?), it printed a coupon on the bottom of our receipt for 20% your purchase at certain stores between 9-12. Well, I love MouseGears and it was our last full day so I decided to shop!
So much cool stuff, so little $$$ in my wallet..

I got a few things for the kids that I didn't want them to know about and got some pens for myself. I knew we'd still be going to World of Disney so I didn't want to spend too much.

I finished up and texted John. They were in club cool and were coming over to meet me!

con't...

Ben and I agreed to forgo Mission Space this trip and everyone agreed to skip The Seas so we headed over towards World Showcase. I took pictures of topiaries along the way. We had a map of them and found them all but Stitch (he wasn't where he was supposed to be!)

IMG_0357-1.jpg

I was quite excited as I had only booked this 14 days out.
We were early so John and Ben sat and waited while Ellie and I walked around and explored.
Isn't this the cutest??

Ellie and I made our way back in and we witnessed them opening the restaurant. All the servers come up front to the lobby and a few stand right outside the door. Then they sing "O Canada"-some in English, some in French. Pretty neat!! We were seated within a few minutes. Our server was really nice. I didn't take any food porn (sorry). I know that John and I had the shaved steak sandwiches, Ben had a hamburger, and Ellie had pizza, I think. I also had some cheese soup and extra pretzel bread. Yummo!:lovestruc
I so should have had a hamburger or gotten the steak!! I did not like the bread for the sandwich at all and the meat didn't have much flavor.:sad2: I was so disappointed in myself! John liked it but he, too, wished he'd gotten something else. Oh well-next time!! We didn't get dessert and so we headed out for more Flower and Garden fun!

Sounds like a great morning! Your pictures of the topiaries are so pretty! You'll be surprise how much things grew from the time you were there until we arrived - in the Bambi exhibit Flower was almost hidden, I didn't even see him at first!

I can't imagine going to Le Cellier and not ordering steak!

I know, I know...I shoulda gotten the steak. I still can't believe I did that! I've given some thought to doing the CP at Le Cellier but it's so expensive! So, don't know if we'll get back there until next summer. One day I will though and I will definitely get steak!
