I'm just about ready to burst! I keep imagining what she's going to do when we tell her. I think my plans are pretty cool as well. As for the wallet, I just posted about it over on the Snowbirds thread!

Previous Trips

First of all, I'm at the single digit mark today. 9 DAYS!!!! Oh yeah! I can't believe 90 days ago I was celebrating my double digit mark. I'm hoping that these next 9 days go by quickly. As each day passes, it gets harder and harder to keep this a secret! I haven't made any major purchases lately, so nothing to report on that front! I did go to Barnes and Noble today to buy my DD a few new books to read. She loves "The Magic Tree House" series so I bought her one of those. She received a book for Christmas called "Holly the Christmas Fairy." I had never heard of this fairy series, but she really liked the book. So, I bought her "Katie the Kitten Fairy." We got our crocs in the mail yesterday but there was a problem. Mine were a little small and my DD's were too big. I went to a crocs store today and was able to exchange hers (yea). I bought myself a new pair of Athens flip flops since he didn't have Bajas (which I bought online). Well, I get them home and they're too big! My DH is headed back out that way tomorrow, so he's going to exchange them for me. What a mess!

Anyways....since I'm getting so close to my trip, I thought I'd talk about my previous trips to WDW. I can add some pictures a bit later because they're on my desktop computer (which I can't stand). Let's begin our trip down memory lane, shall we???

TRIP #1- 1984 Age 2
My very first trip to "the world"! I obviously don't remember much from this trip. We used to drive to Florida and it always took a few days. I went with my parents, big sis and my maternal grandparents (they introduced my mom to WDW). The one thing I constantly was told about this trip was that Mickey didn't want to let go of me (I guess this was back when the characters could hold children). He just didn't want to give me back to my mother. This is either very cute or very creepy.

TRIP #2- 1987 Age 5
We drove down again on this trip (same people), but there was a problem. My grandparents used to tow their camper with their Bronco. Well, the Bronco decided to break down. So, instead of camping our way down to Florida, we stayed at hotels. My mom vowed to never camp our way down again. That's all I remember from this trip.

TRIP #3- 1991 Age 9
My first time flying!!! On this trip, there were a lot more people: My parents, my older sister, my little sister(age 2), my grandparents, my aunt & uncle and 2 of my cousins (age 8 and 6). We flew over Hurricane Bob. Yup, first time flying and we flew over a hurricane. Nothing major happened...just some bad turbulence. While we down at WDW, my twin cousins were born! I remember my mom, aunt and grandparents calling my aunt and uncle to see if the babies were born yet.

TRIP #4- 1992 Age 10
This was the trip of a lifetime!!! We won this trip from a 2-liter bottle of Coke! Yes, people actually DO win those things. I'm living proof. It was just my parents, me and my sisters on this trip. We stayed at the Contemporary in one of the garden wings (I think we stayed in the one that no longer exists ). The trip included airfare, hotel, rental car and all food & snacks. We ate to our hearts content on that trip and it was wonderful. However, on the first night, my little sister fell out of bed and hit her head on the nightstand. My parents had to take her to the hospital in the middle of the night and she got 5 stitches above her eye. Poor little thing! Other than that, this trip was outstanding!

TRIP #5- 1997 Age 15
Just 4 of us on this trip. My older sis didn't go with us. We stayed at All-Star Music and it was pretty nice. I just don't like having to go to bed all at the same time. Not too fun. While at Epcot this year, they were building Test Track. Sadly, I haven't been to Epcot since this trip.

TRIP #6- 2002 Age 19
My DH's first trip! My older sister joined us on this trip as well. We stayed at Marriott Cypress Harbor (our first Orlando timeshare experience) and it was fantastic. I was pregnant with our DD on this trip, so I didn't get to ride the big thrill rides (bummer). We only went to MK and DHS (well, we boarded the wrong monorail and got to circle Epcot). We have many great memories from this trip, but they're all inside jokes. It would take too long to explain or else I'd share with you.

TRIP #7- 2006 Age 22
Our DD's first trip!!! Once again, my older sister wasn't with us. We stayed at Marriott Grande Vista which I liked even more than Cypress Harbor. Like I've mentioned before, we only went to MK. Well, we went to Blizzard Beach too. We had a blast but we all got very burned. That's what happens when you don't reapply your sunscreen!

I cannot waitfor Trip #8. I think it will be the best yet. I can't wait to go to all 4 parks! 9 days! 9 days! 9 days!

Meghan~ I love stories!!!! How fun!!! And I am right there with you on that countdown!! I am getting excited!!! I just got a sales mag. from Vera Bradley with the new spring colors I didn't need that right now!! I was going to get a backpack that's on sale, but now that these new colors are out I am afraid I will be in trouble!! HA!!! Glad you found your M&M tubes--sorry about the crocs. I too am having trouble finding any that fit me this year. Guess it'll be tennis shoes the whole week!

My DH just called me from the crocs store. They don't have my size there, but they have them at a different location. So, I'll be heading out there tomorrow. I have a very busy day today because it's GAME DAY!!!! Go BANDITS!!!(our colors are orange, black and a hint of purple). I have to be downtown at our arena at 3pm for field practice. Then, we have our big photo shoot at 5pm. That's for our group poster, then we have our individual photo shoot after that along with our video bios. Whew! Makes me tired just thinking about it!

Shawna- I am BEYOND excited!!! This week is either going to crawl along or speed by. My dance team directors cancelled practice this week, which got me a little bummed. #1-It would keep me busy (and active) and #2-Now I don't get to say a proper good-bye to my friends. So, here's what my week is looking like so far:

Sunday-lounge day...We can't go to church because our surprise was almost spoiled last week. I really don't want my friend's son to start talking about the fact he might see her in WDW! No!!!!

Monday-No school and my DH has the day off too. Have to go grocery shopping for vacation snacks!! DD still has Irish dance and I still have my tap class

Tuesday-Work 9-1...might go take Body Pump with my dance team buddies at 6:30pm

Wednesday-Nothing in the morning....teach ballet that evening. Oh yeah. Wed is laundry day. Gotta get everything all nice and clean for Mickey!

Thursday- Work 9:30-1:30...again, might take Body Pump

Friday-PACK! PACK! PACK! I'm also meeting my friends for dinner that evening. I said I could go for a little while since I have to wake up so early the next day. Whoever is there will get a proper good-bye from me!

Love those pictures!!! I know about this week flying/dragging by. I got all my stuffed to be shipped boxed up yesterday. DH took the kids to the movie last night and I got busy!!! Snax, waters, disposable toiletries, all that kinda stuff. I hope to somehow sneak it out tomorrow and ship it. Hubby might have to help me--one box is pretty heavy!!!!

We got school to work on, so that will help my days go by. The dog is going to a boarder Friday eve., so she's set!!! Other than that, it'll be last minute prep, --we have 5 people so that's gonna be daily this week--I do NOT want to be up late Fri doing this. And of course keeping an eye out for the weather temps!!!!! Meghan---what weather are you watching? I thought you said accuweather---which is what I am checking. And the local Orlando channel 13!!!!!

For weather, I've been checking accuweather.com, weather.com, and the Orlando Sentinel website. I'm about to go check the weather right now actually! I know that I'll need to pack a variety of things, but I don't want to go over the weight limit on our luggage! I'm a huge overpacker. I just can't help it! I like to have options to choose from everyday. Good luck sneaking your box out of the house!
