Recently my brother was married aboard a cruise ship (not Disney, though for the life of me I can't figure out why since he always says his greatest regret was when he quit his Disney job, it was probably his horrible new wife... but I digress
) and my parents went along and fell in love
with the cruising life. Now, they've been together nearly forty years through thick and thin (a lot of thin actually) and I'd really like to see them have a vow renewal because their original wedding wasn't exactly spectacular. (My grandparents, mom's parents, even refused to go until the day of the wedding because they didn't approve of my father.
)
Selfishly, I wish they would have an Intimate VR at Disney proper because I would love to plan it.
But I figure this ties things together nicely; I want to plan a Disney wedding, they would like to go on another cruise. And I'd really like to surprise them with it. The question is... is that even possible?
Can you keep the bride and groom out of the planning and just have them show up in their fancy duds (that they'd need anyway for Palo and such)? I'd be footing the bill, so they wouldn't need to be involved in that bit either. (I feel like $3,000ish is worth letting them know how much they mean to me and each other.) What do ya'll think?
