So guess who had another PJ day because of low water pressure and the cold......meeeee!

But nothing can last forever so my pj days end today. We go back tomorrow so I wanted to get in another update.
We had an early evening on Magic Kingdom Friday so we were well rested for our early ADR's this morning. We had an 8:20 ADR at Donald's Safari Breakfast at the Tusker House - our first time eating here. MIL would not be joining us for this meal as she decided to join us on our trip too late for me to add her to the reservation. I tried a few more times for any cancellations but nothing. We told her it would be a wonderful chance for her to get some extra rest. All she had to do was ride the bus labeled Animal Kingdom, follow the herd of people to the entrance, use her ticket to get in the gate and call us with her cell phone. We would come get her. I cannot express to you how much she really didn't want to do this but I explained that if she came with us, she'd have to wait outside the gate by herself until we were finished with breakfast or the park opened whichever came first. She was so afraid of getting lost. Which is kinda' funny to me beings that our hotel room was on the inside of the building that was right next to the parking lot. If you went around the building, you could see the busses! Every bus has a label of where it is going and there are signs by each line. ???? I swear she even asked the bus drivers to make sure they were bringing us where we wanted to go.

Like we couldn't read??? Anyway, it was also VERY cold that morning as the rain came with a cold front and I think she realized meeting us there later would be the best thing.
So we start our morning by ourselves. We drove to AK today because we have ADRs at Hoop Dee Doo tonight. I didn't want to depend on Disney transportation when I didn't know how long it would take us to get there. The walk from our vehicle to the entrance was torture as it was extremely windy and cold but I wasn't going to stand still and wait for a tram as we weren't parked very far away.
The tree was very pretty and totally on theme.
Once inside the park, we rented stroller (one of the few we used this trip) and found our way to Tusker House. There we were greeted outside (brrrr) and took pictures with Donald. We were quickly seated inside and received the best juice I think I have ever had. It was delicious! We (of course) reminded our server our DS's peanut allergy and he had the chef show me around the buffet. Thank God for Disney. It is one of the few places my son can eat out at restaurants because basically...they know their stuff. The chef told me that every 6 months they go to school to get updates and learn more about food allergies. He also sympathized with me because he had food allergies in his own family. Disney has always been so understanding and accomodating and NEVER treated us like we were a problem or a hassle because of his food allergy. They helped to make our meals much less stressful. So we had a wonderful breakfast full of delicious food and wonderful character interaction. We met a few nice people there that were staying at Pop as well. The kids even participated in a little parade around the dining area. Here are some pics:
We decided to wait to go on the safari until MIL was with us. We had gone on our Mardi Gras trip and to be honest, I could take it or leave it. So we walk toward Expedition Everest and the standby was 20 minutes. None of us had ever been on EE and I REALLY wanted to go. Last trip, I didn't ride because I had no one to ride with. This time, DD should have come with me but she chickened out. I have no idea why except the fear of the unknown but she walked onto Space Mountain blind and very confident.

Anyway, I wasn't leaving AK for a 2nd time without riding so I went on by myself. The theming of the queue was really great. I met some teenagers in line and asked them about the ride. They had an odd number also so I rode with one of them. Expedition Everest is THE best roller coaster I've ridden and I will NEVER miss it again! Totally LOVED it! When we got to the broken tracks right before you go backwards, I had to say outloud that I can't believe I'm finally seeing this in person. I've seen it on tv so many times! The Yeti was great! The ride was great! This is a do not miss ride. I don't even think it made me sick. It was disorienting when you go backwards in the dark but not bad. DD isn't getting away with chickening out next time. I know this will be one of her favorites if she will just try it. Later, I asked her what she was so scared of and she mentioned not knowing what it would do and the Yeti. I had a feeling the Yeti was involved in this one.
So on our way to Dinosaur, we met up with some old friends:
We had been discussing whether or not we would take the kids on Dinosaur. My little chickens who hide and cover their eyes in the Haunted Mansion would have probably stayed with MIL had she been there, BUT she wasn't so we told the kids what to expect and also that they could cover their eyes the whole time if they needed to. I did see other little ones in line so I felt a little less guilty about bringing mine, but honestly, I didn't know how they would react. I had never been on it myself so I was going off of tv and other people's opinions. They were really troopers. No crying, just a little hiding. I think I closed my eyes for some of the ride just to not have to see anything that might scare me.

I did catch a glimpse of what was to come right before the end when the big TRex comes right at you from ahead. With a flash of light I saw it so I warned my DS and we both hid. I guess you can figure out what our picture looked like.

We didn't buy this one either.
So our brave little family left Dinosaur to ride Triceratops Spin which I used to bribe them with to go on Dinosaur.
Then we went on It's Tough to be a Bug. We had skipped this one last trip also because DS doesn't like loud noises or big grasshoppers jumping out at him. Since our last trip, we have gone to the New Orleans Audubon Insectarium which has a VERY SIMILAR show. I knew that this would help their nerves. The show was cute and everyone had a great time.
At this point we figured we should check on MIL. It was almost lunch and I know she wouldn't venture out and find the food court. She was actually just getting in the gate so we went find her. I was proud. She made it. I used this little accomplishment to praise her so that she would be a little more independent. It didn't work, but I tried.
Now that she was with us, I wanted to show her things she would like. We missed the next Lion King show so we visited Minnie and Chip & Dale at Camp Minnie Mickey.
We then ate at Flame Tree BBQ with a beautiful view of my new favorite roller coaster.
After we ate, we watched the Nemo musical. Since we didn't get there early, our seats weren't great. We managed and the show is cute. I think she liked it except she didn't like the no backs on the benches.
