At 23 days to go with plans set (except the SW Dessert Party I'm still stalking for daily 
), park bags packed, and bday items hiding in the attic...I'm BUSTING at the seems having to stay 
...like killing me lol...SO, you guys are my therapy 
DH & I are taking DD (aka my Squirt Face) for a surprise 14th bday trip
It all started with her surprise Christmas present of giving her a Fall Break trip @ CBR 10/7-10/16 for MNSSHP (bucket list item). My TA friend (who I liken to the man in a van "want some candy lil girl") started keeping me in the loop for new deals. One thing lead to another, and due to our planned June 2017 trip; Disney math cried AP. Force Awakens Summer sale cried "this is the last year we'd be able to surprise her, so hey...". Yep, over the time span of 2yrs we've gone from a "one & done" family to 3 trips in the next 11months.
We're a blended family, still a new one at that. Next week marks our 4th anniversary. DH & DD came into my life 6yrs ago, and rapidly grew into the 2 halves of my heart. I grew up loving Disney, but the last time I went as a kid AK didn't even exist yet (telling my age lol). DH had only been once as a kid, DD had never been at all yet
I knew we had to take her!
Due to budget, we saved up and I started planning a "2 wk blow it outta the water" kinda trip. Even though DH & DD were looking forward to it, I really thought I was the only one truly excited. We all went into it with the " one & done" idea. We went early June 2015. Due to the length of time, we rented a condo off property; with a 1 night surprise stay at AoA to give DD the mermaid room and pool night. We ended up spending the last 4 nights back on property unexpectedly due to the AC Unit going out in the condo
(which is a story within itself, but thanks to my amazing on call TA friend and the sweetness of the condo owner; it caused no problems and was a Disney blessing in disguise).
At the danger of sounding mushy, our trip was truly magical from start to finish! There's so much I could say, but I'll NEVER forget our last night at MK. All 3 hugging, watching Wishes together, one by one starting to cry (yes, even DH), me saying I had the family I dreamed of, DH saying he always wanted to bring DD, but wanted it complete with a DW, DD saying how she always wanted to come, and yes it's complete now with the three of us. (still gets me tears eyed remembering). My 2nd favorite memory is later standing in a deserted Main Street, all 3 hugging again watching the second Kiss Goodnight, DD hugs me tighter & slips me something she purchased with her own money! "Here Tia (Long story, but best friend's kids call me Tia bc their dad is Spanish. DD picked it up & it's her term of affection for me now, like mine to her is Squirt Face) I got you this...and it's a key chain with a stick girl figure with Mickey Ears and says "#1 Tia"... yep, I balled like a baby!
... Driving home from our "one & done" we kept listening to the Wishes soundtrack we purchased while I was already fantasizing our next trip
We instantly become a Disney family, with Disney becoming our "thing". DD's room now looks like teenage Disney princesses and Tsum Tsums took over, SW's anything/everything is DH's & DD's "thing" and DD and I share everything else
So sorry for long backstory, but needed to show how rapidly important Disney has grown to our lil family! Back to PTR BDay trip plans...
So, we're checking in at Pop on 8/2. We're waking DD up around 2 am and giving her the trip reveal of "get in the car, we're heading to Disney". (So far, she thinks her bday is at our local zoo, then princess party at home after). Around 12hrs later, we'll be there; yay!!!
Starting with right after check in, we'll be giving her a nightly Bday present bag that includes a themed bday card, Disney gift card for souvenirs, and a themed Disney bday outfit (gotta love Etsy!). The 1st night's gift bag will include her bday autograph book (again, I love Etsy!) Gonna post pics of all later...
1st Night: AK, including CS Flame Tree dinner, Safari, EE, then JB Show FP's.
2nd Day: MK, including TS CP lunch, Splash MT, BTMRR, Space MT FP's, then Pirate & Pals Wishes Dessert Cruise (MK EMH pm, will head back in to close it down).
3rd Day: Daddy/Daughter SW's day at HS, including TS Minnie's Dine dinner, ToT, Rock Coaster, Star Tours FP's, then SW's Dessert Party.
4th Day(Actual Bday): MK, including TS CM dinner w/delivered Mickey Head bday cake, Splash MT, BTMRR, Space MT FP's, then close down Main Street.
5th Day (Check Out Day): Epcot, including TS Akershus lunch, Soarin, Character Spot FP's.
Of course, I have many Standbys/Attractions/CS/Snacks planned; but that's the nuts & bolts. My motto is beyond nuts & bolts, all else subject to "go with the flow" lol
