A Smile in my Heart–Magical Week of Friends,Fun & Freezing-10/28-COMPLETE!

Your simultaneous TRs are starting to confuse me now!:rotfl: In one you and are extreme heat; the other extreme cold.

That is funny about the camera crew and filming at Dumbo...wonder what that was all about? Did it look like a "real" couple, or actors?

Interested to hear all about your toontown experience!:)

You're not the only one who is confused....I'm beginning to wonder if I should have waited to finish this one before starting that one....but who knows that will be!

It looked like a real couple. I thought for a minute that maybe it was a filming for Extreme Makeover - Home Edition, since sometimes they go to Disney World, but it was just 2 people, and usually EMHE is a big family with kids. IDK...later on we saw them filming them eating ice cream! :confused3

Toontown will be up next....

The sky at MK that morning is just gorgeous! So blue! Love all the pictures from Dumbo. That ride always makes for some great photos.

:rotfl: on the "no dancing" sign! I'll think of that whenever I see it from now on.

Hi Michelle! It was a beautiful morning! Especially considering the gloomy day we had had the day before! Just wish it had been a tad warmer that morning! But no worries, it definitely got a bit warmer later on! :goodvibes

Thanks! :goodvibes I think I have been to Disney for every possible temperature! This was certainly the coldest; followed by January 2006. By far, the best weather we have ever had at Disney was over Thanksgiving week in 2007! Beautiful, non humid, only one day of sprinkles (I woudn't even count it as rain), it was glorious!

i'm still here. I just don't always post. i guess i should huh?:confused3

Lol! It's ok - I'm just so slow to post - I wonder if anyone is still out there reading this thing! Thanks for letting me know! I will hold out hope that there are others out there too! I really am going to try to post quicker!! :rolleyes1

Yes, I guess he took me literally about the Dumbo dash! :lmao: Good thing the girls were in the stroller!

Yeah, it was not a happy Mommy moment for me from my normally courteous and thoughtful boy. :headache:

I'm still here!

Thanks girl!!

Boo on all the rain you had on your HS day but like my DH said (repeatedly) on our last trip, "You can pick your vacation days but you can't pick the weather!" :rotfl:

I loved the monorail/pressed penny tour! What a great idea! :thumbsup2

Glad you're back Nicole!! Yeah, the rainy days were a bummer since it was so cold, but I will take it any day over stifling heat and humidity!! I got that in May and was about at my max! I don't think I could do Disney in July or August!

Oh yes, she is fancy shmancy for sure!! You should see her stillettos!!

You're back just in time for another update....coming up....

Day 4 - February 10, 2010
Magic Kingdom
Chapter 2

After our wild ride on the Mad Tea Party, we headed towards the Toon Town rope drop. We were right at the front and guess who just happened to be right next to us??? Monica and Megan!! They had been there since rope drop as well but had done a few of the things they had missed on their other MK day earlier in the week. This was their last day at Disney, so they had a checklist of things not to be missed! Dave and Hunter had gone to do a few boy type rides (Buzz and Stitch I think) and she and Megan had done a few girly things before heading over to TT!

So needless to say, the girls were happy to be reunited with Megan while we waited for them to drop the rope. The CMs that handle that area are so great. They keep it so entertaining and then at about quarter till 10, they go over the rules of who to follow if you are going to Barnstormer, who to follow if you are going to see Mickey, and lastly who to follow if you are going to see the fairies. They repeated quite a few times that there could not be any running, and then we were off to walk (with purpose) towards the land of the fairies!

As we approached the area, I was pushing the stroller and Shawn was walking with the kids. No dashing this time! LOL! Just a nice normal “walk-with-purpose”! I told him to go ahead and get in line, but apparently, there was some confusion, and while I was parking the stroller, Shawn just waited for me. So a few people got in front of us, but it was only 2 or 3 groups, I think. Monica and Megan must have been either first or second in the room to meet Tink because by the time we got in line (probably 30 seconds later) they had already been taken back. We waited for about 10 minutes and then it was our turn. It's amazing how slow moving that fairy line is....I can't even imagine getting there at any other time of day!! I was so happy that we had made it there right at rope drop.

The girls were very excited to meet Tink (at that point they didn't know that any of the other fairies would be there). Michael was, well....um….what would you expect an 8 year old boy waiting in line to see a bunch of fairies would be like??? Yeah, he wasn't thrilled. :sad2: Well, too bad kiddo...sometimes you gotta do stuff your sisters want to do, sometimes they do stuff you want to do, and sometimes all 3 of you have to do something that WE PARENTS want to do!! That's how it goes.

When it was our turn, the CM told us how we would be "shrunk" down so that we could see Tink and the other fairies in Pixie Hollow. Then she led us down the hallway, where the other family was finishing up with the third fairy, Terrence.

The first fairy, Fawn, came right up to the girls and led them over to her spot, talking the entire time. She was a hoot. When she got to Michael, she gasped out loud!

"Look at your hands!”
“What happened to them?”
“Why are they red?"

She was hilarious and so in character. Michael was still wearing his red gloves and Fawn was apparently confused by them! The girls were giggling and Michael was shyly laughing and looking over at us and truth be told, he was enjoying it. She took his hands, flipped them over, asked him questions, and then she went over to Tink, grabbed her and brought her over to see the mysterious hands. When Michael explained that they were gloves and started to take them off, they both kind of jumped back and Fawn yelled..."he's got two sets of hands!" It was hilarious and Michael was really giggling now.

It's funny how he was so reluctant to go in, and he ended up getting the lion's share of attention! Tink and Fawn were really great. They had a wonderful banter between the two of them and were really in character. They just never stopped talking the whole time, even though they were taking pictures, signing the autograph book, etc, etc, it was just talk, talk, talk....hilarious!! When we made it over to Terrence, he said “they never stop talking”!

(He rolls his eyes right now when he sees these pictures, but I have a sneaking suspicion he won’t mind them later on….she was very cute!)

After we finished up with the fairies we decided to take a spin on Barnstormer (walk-on) and check out Minnie and Mickey's houses.

Barnstormer was fun as usual, and of course we love the mouse houses!

(Entrance of Barnstormer – I don’t know how Shawn does it, but he always seems to make it look like no one is around us)

(Me, on the other hand, just snap away, regardless of how many people are in my shot!)

Michael had a “beauty” appointment!!

Coming up….Dead Men Tell No Tales…...

:yay: More already! Score!

Monica ditched you for fairies! I just don't know about her sometimes! :lmao:

Very cure pics with Tink and the gang. I wonder if Terrence gets much ribbing in the cast member quarters!

Oooh... I think I know what is next! pirate:

Lol that is too funny about the Michael and his gloves. The stuff the characters can come up with on the spot is hilarious sometimes.

Awesome photopass pics..your kids are too cute!

Looking forward to hearing more:thumbsup2

Yeah, you got to watch that Monica sometimes....:rolleyes1 left me high and dry!! :rotfl2:

I thought the same thing about Terrence....I mean, I just can't get used to the male fairy! Maybe they have a special area backstage for Terrence and Peter Pan to hang out together - men in tights!!:rotfl:

Thanks! Yeah, all of the kids were like "I guess they have never seen gloves in Pixie Hollow before" (I was like "I guess they have never seen gloves in Florida before"...)

Sara

What great character interaction! I think we had the same Tink in 2009. We went for Danielle's 10th birthday. She told her she had to fly away to Neverland before it was too late. Now that she's 11 I guess it's too late. The funny thing is Peter Pan told her the same thing that night at the Spectro parade.

I'm still here too! :)

We loved the fairies  - they were so funny and just fed off of any situation. Tink stole our wands that we got from the Castle breakfast!! (She gave them back. Albeit reluctantly. Little thief!)

Carry on........:surfweb:
