A Six Thousand Kilometer Road Trip to Disneyland and Back- TR has started on page 37!

I enjoy Green Day also. We saw them last summer and managed to grab front row by racing there once we got in the doors. It was our goal and we made it! Lol. They are a really fun band also.

My almost 16 year old daughter thinks that they are too old to wear eyeliner and skinny jeans. My DH Scotty told her that they made skinny jeans and eyeliner what they are.:lmao: They are from less than 40 miles from me.

That's so true! They did start that whole thing! And that's cool that you are so close to where they are from! Calgary is about that far from where Nickelback is from, so I am close to their home town!

That is cool. I find that I am following more independent music now, there is a group that my kids started liking that I have developed a liking for too.

This is them, they are called The Orphan The Poet.

They sound pretty good! There is an independent band from Edmonton (just north of me) that I love called Social Code. They are starting to get heard a bit in the States now, but here is their page.

Social Code Listen to their song "Satisfied", it's the one that's getting lots of radio play right now.

Social Code

I am listening right now. I think my oldest daughter Kacy might like them, her and maybe Loren. They are pretty good.

The Orphan The Poet started following my daughter Kody so she started listening to them and got us all listening to them. I am now friends with David the lead singer on facebook and twitter. He's a nice guy.

It's nice when you can get to know the band. I've got most of Social Code on my facebook. My brother is friends with them, so we go see them everytime they are playing near by and get to visit with them after the show. It's really nice. We also got to do some promotional work for them recently, putting up posters to advertise their new album, and in return getting free tickets to their shows.

That is real cool. And I think it makes the music more fun in a way you know. David helped Loren with a homework assignment through emails because Loren used one of their songs for an language arts assignment. I thought it was real nice of him to help Loren.

So I have kind of made up a cost list, so I know roughly how much money we are going to need to have. The cost is based on just Dillon and I. I wondering if there's anywhere where we should estimate more money, or anywhere where we could cut costs (preferrably). We are going to try and eat cheap most days. The reason I have $0 for breakfasts is because we can go buy a box of cereal and a small jug of milk and be good with that. Do you think we can find things to eat for lunches for under $15 for the two of us for most days? I hope so!

Oops, forgot to post my list! :headache:

Have you looked at the websites with menus? They can give you a pretty good idea how much the food will cost.

Yep, I looked at allears.com. I estimated a bit more for meals we could have in the parks. But most of it will be counter service, or something cheap like McD's.

One way we save money is to eat lunch in the park and leave the park for dinner. It is cheaper to eat other places. Much..

Yeah that is probably what we are going to do. And for snacks. All we really need to do is split them. I doubt I could eat a whole Tigger Tail by myself. And we don't need to be completely stuffed at all times. If we go to Cafe Orleans, which we plan to, we can just split the plate of fries and then split the beignets. That should be plenty.

I don't remember if you were planning to go to Blue Bayou but, you can share a meal. I am all for that myself. One day last time we were there Scotty and I shared a fruit plate and some sour dough bread. I think that may have been my favorite meal.

I think it's fun to share. That way we kind of experience a lot of the same things. And I don't think we are going to go to Blue Bayou. We thought about it, but after a character meal, it might just be a little too much. I think just trying Cafe Orleans, PCH Grill, and I think Dillon wants to try Bengal BBQ, I think after that, we will be satisfied with whatever we find that's reasonable. I am thinking mostly snacks will satisfy us. We can just sample things all over and be good. Less worry about costs that way.

I love Bengal Bbq. That is my favorite counter service place in Disneyland. Oh my I can hardly wait to have my bacon wrapped asparagus.
