A Simple Guide to Making an Autograph Book

Okay, so I've been playing around in Word with some Universal cards since there aren't many out there. I have everything set the way I want it to look. Now here's my question. How do I save it correctly so I can sent it to print as a picture with Shutterfly or someplace like that?

You will need to save it as either a JPEG or in PNG format. You should be able to do this in any photo editing program.

So one of my friends is planning a trip in December of this year. She has a set of twin boys and isn't as crafty as I. She asked me to a make her a set of books like mine and is going to pay for it I worked out her design Covers and just finished embroidering one.

Didn't it turn out cute! I also wanted to throw out there if anyone liked my books and knows anyone with a embroidery machine or has one themselves I'd me more than happy to send over any designs for covers

For these books I used a Universal page. Its saved to my office computer. I'll post it for everyone tomorrow

While I am grateful that you stepped in to help folks while I was briefly away, I must warn you that making these books and selling them, even to friends, is EXTREMELY ILLEGAL. The DISigns that we make here are for Personal Use Only, which means that if you want to use them and make a book for yourself, it's fine, but you CAN NOT SELL THEM. Yes, I am yelling, because Disney will quite litereally shut us all down for violating their trademarks and for copyright infringement. It has happened to DISigners here in the past, and I do not want that to happen to this thread - it has helped to bring a touch of extra pixie dust to many families' trips. If you are selling your books, then I must ask you to not use ANY of my DISigns and to no longer post on this thread. I will send this as a private message as well so that I know that you got it.

Not sure if this will work but thought I would share what I finally decided to do for the autograph book. After many nights, and many hrs of going through the boards - I settled on the Disney Jr Encyclopedia for the boys (their choice) and making an 8 x 8 online bood for dd - mostly because I had a coupon expiring. I used a combination of designs - THANKS so much everyone, and I used two for some because I am hoping to put in small photos of dd w/ the characters after. hopefully this works. Not sure but it is what it is. I think she will love the book as she is 4.

Sewing is just one of those things that I never really mastered, so I am always impressed with folks who have those kinds of skills.

ETA: Have you considered starting a Disney embroidery DISigns thread? That would be a neat addition to our little DISigner family!

Thought never crossed my mind but it's a good Idea I think when I get home tonight, I just may start that thread. I'm lucky enough to have some amazing computer software, seems like such a waste for just me. I'd love to help out some others not everyone sews but a lot of grandmothers have machines so people might know someone who does it!

Wow great book, you did a fabulous job. It's neat to see everyone put these fabulous pages put to use in different ways. I'll upload a picture of my books that I created tonight. It's an 8x8 book but is spiral bound. We leave in under 2 weeks. Whoo hooo!!!

I would love to see your book. I wanted to do the 3 rings and then put it all in a book later or do the spiral binding but just decided to use my mixbook coupon and be done w/ it all. w/ time constraints I liked just uploading the images I collected and not having to do any running around or anything else! We also leave in 2 wks.

Music Mouse thanks for the cover. I ended up using one of natalie's I think since you were gone and I was working at the last minute of course! I love the personalizations you do! I was able to add text under the cover so it looks okay.

There doesn't seem to be anybody tracking characters at Disneyland the way people do at Disneyworld. I've been searching all the threads everyone tells you to search a lot lately and here is my composite list based on that. This is not based on my experience, but is a composite of what I've found by searching the forums. I'm sure things are missing and since I've doing a historical search, I'm positive some of this is out of date and it seems to have more characters than it should.
Most of the villains on this list are mostly seen at the Halloween party. Also, my understanding is that Daisy has traditionally been very rare at Disneyland. DCA means a character that to the best of my knowledge is traditionally seen at Disney California Adventure.

We have such wonderful talent here on DIS. I wanted to share my 8x8 sprial bound book with all of you. Well this is one of the 3 I put together. It took me about 2-3 weeks to finally get to the finished product but I LOVE it.

Inside the book. I resized the pages to 7x7 and then mounted them on 8x8 cardstock. I also printed the white autograph part on cardstock. I wanted these to be durable.

I having trouble uploading the cover. I'll be back shortly to share it.
