A Simple Guide to Making an Autograph Book

I seem to be having the opposite problem of the previous poster. I downloaded otterpop's awesome 10x10 pages and am trying to insert them into a artcow photobook. When I downloaded them, I right clicked on each page I wanted and opened it in another tab. It shows up at like 58% or so. I then clicked on each one to open it larger. Then I right clicked again and saved image as. The resolution looks fine with I look at the images on my computer screen. When I put them into my book I am getting the warning about the resolution being too low. Has anyone else had the same experience? Am I downloading them wrong? Thanks!

You downloaded them right. Here is what's going on: Artscow recommends a resolution of 2400x2400, but Otterpop's images tend to run 1024x1024. For an animated image this should be fine, but for a photograph it would look grainy. Double check your jpegs and make sure that they are at least 1024x1024 - anything smaller than that will come out fuzzy or grainy.

That should be fine, but you really don't want anything smaller than that.

No, it's for 5x7 only. You CAN add extra pages for .30 each. I ordered an Epcot Passport this morning. Now I just have to wait a month...

Sorry for the problems with my images. I'm working on it!

For some reason the resolution of my "newer" images was being changed to 72 ppi, from 300 ppi, when uploaded to photobucket. I have found a way to correct this and have re-uploaded all of my images such that they are now 300 ppi. But, it looks like this is still giving errors.

Again, sorry for the problems...and thanks to MusicMouse (as a result of you guys) for bringing it to my attention.

That is the book I am making but when I add pages it is charging me 11.89 for one book and charging me shipping am I doing something wrong?

In the checkout process there is a place to put in the promotional code. I had to put it in twice before it took.

Well shoot! Maybe you have to go in through the facebook link. Do you have a facebook account? Go to the Artscow page - the code is there, you just have to click on it.

I was having the same problem & then I realized that I was making the wrong kind of 7x5 book. You have to use the custom 7x5 photo book (NOT the custom CLASSIC). I actually think it looks nicer since I could put a photo on the cover instead of just the plain hardcover with the peep window.

I bought them, paid with paypal and was so excited...I was done!! I WOKE up this morning to an email from Artscow saying that I was refunded my money cause I used copyright images. I used Donatalie images and goofytroops. Isn't that what all you are using? HEEEELLLLLLPPPPP!!!!

OH NO!!!!! I just checked my order status on Artscow and it says "processing". I sure hope they don't do that to everyone. I did use some of Natalie's images along with some others. I made three different passports yesterday. I'm so sorry that happened to you. If I were you, I'd try it again with a different email/account. But that's just me, I like to push the envelope! LOL
