A Simple Guide to Making an Autograph Book

I just wanted to say thank you so much for the instructions and all the wonderful DISigns! I made my DD an autograph book last night on shutterfly. Well, I made one on about 3 different sites to compare prices and coupon codes. Let's say I wasted a little too much time :rolleyes1. I included space next to each picture for a photo of DD w/ each character.

I can honestly say now that I know how much time goes into making all the images/autograph pages. I found 2 missing in the style that I liked so I made them myself. I spent a loooong time figuring out how to layer images. So thank you all for providing all of these!! I just thought I'd share in case anyone wanted to use them. These are following the style of DoNatalie's volume 2. If I'm crossing any lines and they need to be removed, please let me know.

They are nowhere near as perfect as DoNatalie's, but they'll do they job. My 2 yr old won't notice :)

And here's a link to my book:

Total was $22.80, satin cover, including 20% off code and free shipping.

Thanks again!!!

I have a question regarding artscow. I am trying to make an 8x8 photo book with pictures from our last vacation. I am trying to also include some clip art and disigns that I have. When I use something other than a photo, I get a little triangle that appears with a message stating "DPI = 100 (not good for printing) 300 or above is recommended". Has anyone else ever seen this? Is it ok to use these images? Will they come out ok? Thank you.

Thanks for sharing the pics of your photobook Shleedogg, very cute! I've been debating doing the same thing.

Surprised to see it in an 8.5 x 11 though. I got an email from Shutterfly a few weeks ago saying that they had discontinued that size and any of the albums I had already made that way would have to be changed. I was a little disappointed because all of my albums through them were 8.5 x 11. Maybe I can find a way!!

You can take a chance with these images, but they will probabaly come out either blurry or grainy. They will print, but the quality won't be good. :goodvibes

I just wanted to thank everyone for this thread and the pictures I was able to use. I printed (well, I had them printed) today at Rite Aid and they came out awesome. I still need to do one more set for my other daughter. Also, I don't even need to ask for a cover for the autograph book because my girls names (Rachel and Alyssa) were already done by others who had asked in the past. Thanks so much!!! We leave on Monday and my girls don't know about the trip yet. I can't wait to surprise them with these autograph books!

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure I want to take that chance. Maybe I'll try to find something else to use instead.

That's wonderful, Debbie! I hope you have a magical trip!! :goodvibes

Could I possibly get two autograph covers?

Benjamin
Troian Rae

Thank you.

Who has used any of the 8x8 pages? If so which ones? and where? I'm trying to make a book in Arts Cow and every one that I've tried so far is coming up with an ! that it's going to be blurry.

Yes, I have the full zoomed in download from photobucket...I checked that first.

Thoughts?

If you like mine, give them a try; they will work, as they are designed for 10x10 @ 300 dpi.

I used them thru artscow for an 8x8 book with no "errors", but I can't tell you how the final product looks, as it's being shipped as I type!

I'm hoping to add some pages over the next few days for the character meals...

Thanks Evan! I think Artscow is a bit more picky about its requirements for dpi than the other sites. :goodvibes

No problem!

I just added two safari pages...

The character meals are a little bit more difficult. I was trying to do Chef Mickey's, but I'm having problems finding good chef character clip art...I love a challenge though!
