A serious question to consider

Thanks for that link. I read it. I have received numerous emails with all those claims in them (he's a muslim, he would not take oath on bible, used koran, etc. etc. etc.) You'll be *happy* to know I have not passed any of those false claims on to others. I even replied to several with the snopes address so they could check on those claims before "sliming" Obama further. Sometimes, just like with Palin, people are not interested in the truth--just give them dirt. Oh well. What can we do?

Those types of facts with association to Wright are not my concerns. My concerns have never been addressed on snopes or fact check. Probably because they are true facts.

The newsweek link is following the Jewish Review one. Sorry. Don't know how to go in/fix without deleting. or messing it up more.:confused3

Obama didn't go to church often, so yes, I believe that he was never in church when Wright made the statements in question.

At any rate, I understand this is not something that is easy for Americans to do, but we have to take statements in the contextin which they were said. All of Rev. Wright's so-called inflammatory statements, when taken in context, are not offensive. That means we have to listen to the words that come before the statement, and the words that come after it.

If you listen to the whole sermon, Rev. Wright SAID NOTHING OFFENSIVE.

You are completely right. And all of this other garbage is just that....garbage.

It comes down to this. Do you really believe, and I mean *really* believe that Barack Obama is Anti-American....that he is a Racist, and that he is a terrorist?

If so, don't vote for him. The majority of us don't believe any of that nonsense and see it as a pathetic attempt by the Right to win an election. That is why all of this Ayers and Wright nonsense never took hold. Nobody buys it.

The entire McCain/Palin campaign is built on fear tactics. They're not telling you how much they'll make your life better, but rather how much worse it will be under Barrack Obama. They're running completely on this point on The Platform of Fear Politics.

That's a campaign that is out of ideas....and clearly running out of time.

It's sad and amazing that you don't believe what your eyes and ears have told you about BO. You want to believe in fantasy be my guest but you're right I will NOT be voting for him. Many of you refuse to believe in any evidence. I think you all would vote for him no matter what he says or does. Not very smart in my opinion.

Oh yes and over 50% of polled voters have bought into some "fantasy" about Obama...puuhhlleezzee...

It's well known that most of the stuff that the McCain camp and others are nothing more than smear tactics with very little basis in reality, and people want a steady-handed leader with proven intelligence and the proper decision making on major issues.

Just what is smear? BO knows (and knows well) an admitted terrorist.? Or the fact that he has taken money from a convicted felon? Or is it smear that his close spiritual advisor (whom he threw under the bus when it suited him) made racist remarks and anti-american remarks in MANY of his sermons. Sorry your argument doesn't hold water. And truth be told if this was the republican canidates story, you all would be foaming at the mouth. But I shouldn't blame you. You're only following the lead the media has given.

You may want to check the facts instead of getting all of your info from the republican media or from the McCain/Palin campaign. Let me know when you do...

Oh, also look up McCain's friendship to G. Gordon Liddy, and associations with the Keating Five, and Pastor Hagee.

Cute the republican media. As opposed to the fair mainstream media? Give me a break. The media has pushed for BO since day one. It would be funny if it wasn't so serious.

Deny all you want. Close your eyes and ears to the facts.

November 5th can't come soon enough IMHO.

Please see Sen. Obama's voting record. It is from Sen. Obama's OWN site.
link
A "Not voting" is when the Senator is present, and literally votes "Not Voting". That is their vote. In effect, they voted "Present". Of 647 bills to be voted upon, Sen. Obama voted "Present" 296 times and actually voted "yes" or "no" 351 times. The reality is that Sen. Obama (according to his voting record listed on Senate site) was only able to make a major decision 54% of the time (351/647)
For that "voting" reality, Sen. Obama earned over $160,000 in salary link (not counting money from lobbyist, donations)-straight from the citizens of Illinois tax dollars. By voting "Present", he didn't do the job that Illinois tax payers sent him to do...as other's have said about Gov. Palin answering questions...it's pretty simple..."yes" or "no".

Yes, the right-wing media...Fox News, Hannity, Rush, O'Reilly, those guys...where have you been?

Yes, this is a question about Barack Obama. One of the things he says is that he was never in the church when Reverand Wright was making one of his now famous statements.

One of his more outrageious statements was made on September 16th, 2001. It was after 9/11. Can you remember where you were on that date? In the churches, there were more people there than on Christmas or Easter. Now, Senator Obama claims he was a member of this church. So the Sunday after 9/11, he wasn't in the church he was a member of? At a time in our country when everyone was getting close with family and with their faith, he stayed away?

I don't believe it.

Why would LYING or DENIAL be surprising at all????

We can only JUDGE on JUDGMENTS since there is no experience.
Judgement on
AYERS
WRIGHT
ACORN
REZNICK
never mind the voting record "present"
WELFARE nation mentality, work 8 hours, then give me 2 of those, so I can give it to others that do not work = socialism by definition.
Saying he'd fund the troops then POLITICS plays in and he SLAMS the people that protect OUR country, denying them support
CLINTON said he is not ready, made no decisions and has not earned it (that is until she got bumped out by him)
BIDEN said, he plays politics to the detriment of the country AND NOW says US will be tested.
the list simply goes on and on.and on and on................

WE SHALL SEE!

:thumbsup2 DEMOCRATS FOR MCCAIN:thumbsup2

You're quoting POLITICAL TALK SHOWS. They are supposed to give their political opinions. Everyone know Hannity is republican. BTW he has a partner on that show who gives the democratic point of view. I'm not talking about opinion shows. Those to me are honest because they make it clear up front what side they support. I'm talking about the msm that PRETENDS to be unbiased all the while slanting the news to suit their opinion. Don't watch Hannity if his opinion bothers you, but the regular news is supposed to be unbiased for a canidate .You can't tell me with a straight face that NBC has been fair and balanced.:rotfl:

I said "FOX NEWS" the whole network has a right-wing bias.

Before the economic crisis bill that passed, when was the last time McCain voted in the Senate?

I think this is a new low for Obama bashers. How in the world are we supposed to know where he was on Sept. 16, 2001? To speculate that he must have been in Wright's church on that day because a lot of people went to church is ludicrous.

What the heck....Your right!
We shouldn't vote for Obama because according to you,
(& you have been to the town where he used to go to church, so you're an expert?) he might have gone (even though he says he didn't) to church on 9/16/01 and he might have been at one of the masses Rev. Wright was saying. So in theory, he could have heard something controversial.:scared1:
Yeah your right....that's it, I'm not voting for Obama!:rotfl2:  :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:
This is the most pathetic thread I've seen in a while, the desperation is getting comical!!
All the republican imaginations will be very relieved on election day, as they need a rest!;)

Before the economic crisis bill that passed, when was the last time McCain voted in the Senate?

4/08/08-Cloture Motion. Voted "aye".
Pt. please? Obama has only been a U.S. Senator for 3 yrs. and has spent the majority of those yrs. campaigning.
McCain has been a U.S. Senator for 22yrs. and spent the majority of the last 2 years campaigning. That is 20 yrs. more experience at making decisions.
But before McCain-anites get too excited. He has a 64.1% voting record this session. (2008) True-in fairness, I did give Sen. Obama the "benefit", I admit to that-I included 2007 & 2008 sessions for him. In reality, McCain's actual percentage is much higher when the 2007 session is brought into play.

More importantly than "did they vote" or "when did they vote", imo, is what did they vote on? And how does that vote affect us? Would most agree to that? imo, it shows what is most important to them...they actually cast their opinion on something...
Votesmart offers no opinion on the vote, or the bill. Just lists the bills, what they contained, how the Senator voted on it, and if the bill passed. Each issue is seperately grouped. For example, want to know how/if they voted on "civil liberties"-pick that & every bill concerning civil liberties will be listed.

But you see that is their game, if he went to church that day... DONT VOTE FOR HIM.

If he did not go to church at that time of healing... DONT VOTE FOR HIM.
