A Safari Christmas Goes Pop! (w/pics)

We were all excited to get our Magical Express stuff over the weekend, and then yesterday, we got the whole package that you get with your confirmation, the Planet Hollywood stuff, etc!!!!

:santa: It feels so much more official now. :santa:

We also decided to go to Planet Hollywood for lunch on the day we arrive. We figured that since we were going to pay for one meal that day, we'd use the Planet Hollywood voucher and pay for the rest. Then, we're either going to eat dinner in DTD somewhere or back at the resort, wherever we are in the evening. I'm so psyched that we're going soon!!!

Before we leave, I'll post my whole itinerary, since we still keep making changes here and there. :thumbsup2

We bought our airline tickets today!!! Yippee!!! This is a good week. We'll be arriving before 9 a.m. How cool is that? Going down we'll be sitting in the exit section, so we'll have all that leg room, too! :goodvibes

Can you tell I'm psyched? :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo:

Last night, I called up Disney to give them our airline info for the Magical Express and ended up talking with a very pleasant lady. We actually were on the line for a while, chatting about WDW. She was great!

Tonight, we are hoping to see which suitcase our Christmas tree will fit into, and we may begin throwing in some items that we won't be using before the trip, but we're taking with us. It's so cool to begin doing stuff like that!!! We only have one month and a day to go, so I mean time is running out, people! :rotfl:

This week, we both ordered winter coats. We knew at the end of last winter that we would need new ones, and with this major cold weather we've been having, we decided to get them sooner than later. They should be at my front door already, when I get home. I hope so!!! We may actually end up bringing them with us. Even if it's not cold enough to use down there, we'll need them when we get back. Last year, we left our coats in the car and moved very quickly from the parking garage to the airport. Lo and behold, we got back and it was even more freezing than when we left, and I was home sick for about a week afterwards. So, I'm hoping to avoid that this time around. :goodvibes

At this point, we are just dying to get the show on the road and it feels like there are still so many days left. I'll be happy once Thanksgiving is over, because my DH is directing our church's Christmas play, and I'm in it, so we'll be rather busy from Thanksgiving on.

When I read that, instantly, I had this picture of Moe, Larry, and Curly trying to fold and bend and shove an 8-foot Doug fir into a suitcase ...

Try a medium weight coat with a hooded sweatshirt underneath - then you're covered for thos colder Fla nights, too ...

Thanksgiving Play?!? - pictures, we demand pictures!! :lmao:

This just makes me smile:

:) I suspect only a DISer would start a sentence like that! So exciting. I know what you mean about the cold weather. It has been freezing (literally!) here in Connecticut. I've never been to WDW at this time of year and knew that the weather would be unpredictable but this is throwing a monkey wrench into things. I don't have room in the suitcase for a winter coat!! :scared1:

Just carry the coat on with you, that is what we are going to do, not the most convenient thing, but it wont fit in the suitcase, and an artilcle of clothing cant count as a carry on...well with the surcharges they are adding on these days.. I wouldnt be suprised!

I know! We still haven't gotten around to seeing which suitcase that tree will fit into, but most definitely, only a DISer would say that! :rotfl:

Oh, wow! Connecticut. You guys definitely have it worse than us. I understand about how it's throwing a monkey's wrench into the plans. Who knows what's going to happen, weather wise.

I agree. I've seen others do this, and that's what I plan to do. Also, I always get a window seat, and up in the air at that altitude can get quite chilly with your arms up by that wall. I am going to use my coat as a buffer! :goodvibes

I totally missed the fact that we're past the 30 days till WDW post! :confused3 I guess that means I must be really busy lately, huh?

So, I'll do this post instead:

:santa: ONLY 28 DAYS TILL WDW!!! :santa:

It's so great to be under 30 days!!! :woohoo: Four weeks from now, I'll actually be in DTD, hopefully shopping. :santa:

WOOT WOOT!!!!!

27 DAYS!!!!

Not a Thanksgiving play? Bummer ...

I had this scene in mind:

Moe enters, stage right, dressed as a pilgrim, carrying a blunderbuss (still smoking), and a very large, very feathery turkey.

Moe: Hey guys - look what I got!!
Larry: What is it? (also dressed as a Pilgrim ...)
Moe: I don't know ... but we're starving, and we're gonna eat it!
Curly: How? (dressed as a Pilgrim wife ...)
Moe: How what?
Curly: How're we gonna eat it?
Moe: We're gonna clean it, stuff it, cook it - and eat it, you knumbskull!!
Larry: Yea!!
Moe: So - here, get to work!!

Moe hands the turkey to Curly, and he and Larry exist stage left, mumbling to themselves about their stupid sister ...

Curly looks at the bird, scratches his head, and says ...

Curly: Stuff it? With what?

Looking around the stage he spots the 8-foot Douglas fir Christmas tree ...

:rotfl2:

:dance3: 27 days for you
:cool1: 35 for me

Got cold to quick here on the eastcoast, didnt it?

You're nearly there, too!!! :woohoo:

It definitely got cold quick! I just hope we have decent weather in Orlando. :goodvibes

I'd be thrilled if we could swim in the new CBR pool at least one day while we're there! At least the pools are supposed to be heated. Too bad they don't give you those fluffy, warm robes at the poolside.:rotfl:

I started checking the weather forecasts for our vacation the week of Dec 6 ...

Last night they had highs in the low-60's, ... this morning it was changed to upper-70's/low-80's ...

So - what do I pack???:rotfl2:

Guess I'll wait until Sunday and then start loading the suitcase day by day ... :3dglasses ... and unloading it ... and reloading it ...

Don't each too much turkey today!!! :upsidedow
