A man has to cross a bridge with a fox, a chicken and a bag of corn. He can only carry one at a time. He can't leave the chicken with the fox because the fox will eat the chicken. He can't leave the chicken with the corn, because the chicken will eat the corn.

How does he get across?

I'd carry the corn, the fox and chicken have legs, they can walk their lazy butts over w/ out my help.

The man takes the chicken across (the fox won't eat the corn). [Chicken on side B, fox and corn on side A] He comes back over and gets the corn. [Fox on side A] He then drops off the corn and picks the chicken back up. He then drops the chicken off, picks up the fox and rows back across. [Chicken back to side A - fox going to B] So fox and corn are now together. He rows back over and gets the chicken.

You are good! I couldn't figure it out. I had to be told the answer.:thumbsup2

I would think you'd be too busy planning your wedding to Sawyer than to worry with chickens and foxes.

He'd feed the corn to the chicken, feed the chicken to the fox, then carry the fox across. Probably ther wrong answer, but I'm feeling violent and bloody this evening.

Carry the chicken across, leaving the fox and corn.

Leave the chicken on the other side.

Go back over the bridge and get the corn.

Once on the other side, trade the corn for the chicken and carry the chicken back across, leaving the corn alone.

Once back to the original spot, trade the chicken for the fox. Carry the fox back across and leave it alone with the corn.

Finally go back and get the chicken!

Or he could kill the chicken, throw his bloody mangled corpse across and carry the fox. Works for me.

OMG, not another one. I am going to bed before I get in to more trouble than I already did today on the disboards.

I have to keep busy while I wait for him to get off the island.:goodvibes

Okay, that makes sense then.:)

I hope your Sawyer gets off soon.

I would probably not worry about the fox. They are wild animals. I would take the chicken on one arm and the corn in the other. We'd share the corn until it ran out, then I would eat the chicken.
