A resale closing timeline (thru Fidelity)

I sent our closing docs and the bank draft with the payment to First American Title today via FedEx next day delivery

What happens next? How many days to close - will I receive an update from FAT?

and what is the wait time after closing to be able to get our membership #?

Just got a call from Fidelity! The closing on our resale contract will be delay seems that one of the sellers (the wife) is travelling in South America and will not be back after the 24th of April !!!!!! I cannot believe this! so Fidelity explained that the sellers had until the 24th of April to execute closing docs any ways and asked for 1 week extension. At this point we have no choice to accept anyway, I don't want to start looking for another contract that will take more time and then ROFR no!!!! I guess we will wait. Fidelity said, at closing, the title company will ask for e-filing so that they have expedited closing from Disney or something like that. Still hope to have our points by Mid May !!

I was wondering if you got your closing docs? We are at 2 weeks today and our agent said title company is still waiting on Disney estoppel.

Just got them this morning! It took 3 full weeks after we were notified of passing ROFR. Good Luck!!

Are people getting closing docs by e-mail or regular mail?

I passed ROFR on the 18th & was told today that the title company has not received the Estoppels from Disney & that they only received the file for those who closed on March 11th.

I passed ROFR on March 18th and got my closing documents today via email. Fidelity is my broker and First American is my title company.
Maybe you will get them tomorrow...

I also received my closing documents by e-mail. I know the title of this thread was for a Fidelity contract, but my contract was through TSS and *** was the closing company.

Exactly the same for me. The estoppel from Disney was dated today so First American turned it around same day.

February 18 - Made offer and accepted same day
February 24 - Sent to Disney for ROFR
March 18 - Passed ROFR
April 2 - Received Closing Docs
April 3 - Returned Closing Docs (next day mail)
April 10 - Closed
April 11 - Deed recorded
April 22 - Account show up online
April 23 - Points loaded into account

Now to use my new 2013 points before they expire.

Just to show variability, we too passed ROFR on the same date, but only closed yesterday due to delays from Disney according to the Title Service. I hope to have access to my 2013 points by May 7th.

Our deed was recorded at the same time as yours and still nothing for us. We're existing members also.

Our resale was the same use year as our other contracts and we had it deeded the exact same way as the others. We also supplied Fidelity with the contract numbers for our other contracts so they would have the information to supply to Disney. I know that if either the title or use year are different, you will end up with a new membership number. I don't know if either of those things might be adding to your delay. But probably worth thinking about...
