A really dumb Southwest question

So, this might sound like a really dumb question but I looked at Southwest's website and wasn't clear on something.

I paid for EBCI for our flight that leaves at 4:30 pm on Saturday. Do you get an email notification that you have in fact been checked in for your flight?

Per the Southwest website it says that EBCI boarding passes are available to print 24 hours ahead of your flight. I'm assuming that unless they send me a notification that I won't know anything until the 24 hours mark. I want to check right at the 24 hour mark to make sure that I am in fact checked in (call me a skeptic but there are times when I just don't always trust computer systems). My problem is, where do I go on the website to verify that I've been checked in and to print my boarding pass. Do you actually use the "check in" link? Does something pop up next to you reservation to indicate your boarding pass is ready/ Or is there somewhere else? For the life of me, I can't figure out where to go.

Sorry if this is a "dense" question or if I'm overlooking something very obvious. I'm in that "oh my gosh, I'm going to Disney in 4 days and can't concentrate on anything else mode"!

The "Checkin" link is all you need. If you have EBCI, then you can check in anytime from 24 hours on, if not, it's recommended to check in as close to the 24 hour mark as possible.

If you have EBCI you will automatically be checked in 36 hours before your flight and you can view your boarding numbers starting 24 hours before your flight and print out your BPs if you like. Just follow the normal check in procedure to get to that point. You also can wait until you get to the airport and will still have the same boarding numbers.

Not a dumb question. The whole purpose of EBCI is so you DO NOT have to check in at the 24 hour mark. You are already checked in and assigned boarding status at 36 hour mark. Therefore, no worries. That is why you paid the extra $10.00 a ticket. We are doing EBCI on our return flight so we don't have to take vacation time to check-in at 24 hours. HTH!

To answer your question, SWA will not notify you when you are checked in. I have used EBCI many times with no problems. We just print our boarding pass at the airport when we check our bags.
