When: 19-22 Feb 2016
22-26 Feb 2016
Cruise Director: Jimmy
Cruise Captain: Capt Donatelli (spelling might be wrong on that one.)
Movies: Star Wars (2d and 3d)
Good Dinosaur (2d and 3d)
Bridge of Spies
The Finest Hours (1130pm showing only)
Inside Out
Zootopia Sneak Peek (same as in the parks)
Dining Rotation: 1-2-3 and 1-2-3-3
Adult Late Night Snacks: Present on the 4day, didn't have a chance to look on the 3 day.
Adult Beach Life Guard: Present in the tower, never had to use the jet ski. A bit of a farce since it was low tide and it only ever made it up to my belly button for a brief walk to the buoy.
New Teen Beach: No visible progress or updates available. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't happen.
Castaway Cay 5k: Gets off the boat with everyone else. Rubber medal with 2016 lanyard was for completion.
Back To Back Process: Just a note in our room to be off the ship by 9. There were a lot of B2Bs. Were unable to sit in concierge lounge to wait since a "Pop Star from some country" was going to be arriving soon and we couldn't be in there. We still boarded early. Total time off the ship including customs: 1 Hour. Cove Cafe has complimentary beverages for B2B cruisers.
Interesting issue: Something may have happened to one of the radars at Satellite Falls. When we arrived back into port a huge crane was in place removing the caps to one of them.
Rooms: 8188 and 8682, both 5e. The 8682 is the handicap stateroom in the starboard corner with huge deck. Some soot on both decks in the morning. Rarely did we get the fuel smell. Room vibration was more noticeable in 8188 than 8682 during docking. Would consider a port side room to make better use of sun loungers since that side usually faces the sun longer.
Thoughts: These cruises worked well for us. In-laws did 4-3. We met them and did 3-4. They took our son off after the family 3 day cruise. This cruise cost less than a 7 day during the same time frame. It would not be our preference to do a short B2B again for the following reasons: People just really act a fool the first day on board, having to do it twice is just lame, the menus repeat (which isn't necessarily bad) but you don't get a lot of variety to choose from, the short cruises seemed to have less adult oriented activities than longer ones. The plus side is you get Castaway Cay twice.
