A Question for Women who have had a D&C.

I was wondering if it messed up your menstrual cycle. Did it change....temporarily or permanent.

When I had them due to miscarriages my cycle was disturbed after each one.

I had one after a miscarriage. I skiped the next month but was basicly back to normal the month after that.

Mine (due to blighted ovum) my cycle was normal after a month, and was told to wait 3 mths to "try" again, and got pregnant right away after the waiting period.... Good luck!

I had two after a molar pregnancy and one after a miscarriage. My cycle was temporarily out of whack, but after a few months it got back to normal.

I didn't notice a difference after my D&C...I had one for a miscarriage...

2 normal D&C's and my cycle didn't skip a beat, I had one failed D&C (doctor didn't remove the fetus) and that really messed me up, but that's rare. Also one D&E and my cycle was normal after that also.

Had a D&C after DD was born. They collapsed my uterus. Had to do hormone therapy to get my cycle back... Now if I hadn't wanted more children the thought of not having anymore was quite tempting! It took 6 months of hormones, then 2 months to get pregnant again.

I had to have a D&C for basically a biopsy. They found a polyp....not cancer thank god.
2 days after my procedure....light staining...normal. Then 3 days nothing.
Then I had 5 days of heavy period...in the middle of my cycle. I was wondering if that will be my new cycle. Because I am usually day 25 and I am on day 30 now.

It did however I just let nature take its course and my body got back on track after a few months.
I had one done because I had "white fuzz" in my uterus and was getting infections.
