A question about Fastpass

One question for everyone....
In order to get a fastpass, do you have to have your park ticket swiped at an entrace machine? We are landing at MCO at 10ish in the morning, and wanted to hop over to Epcot, send one person in with all four of our park hoppers, and have that person grab fastpasses for Sorain. Just was wondering if this can be done w/o having all four family members having to use the hopper and come into the park. Thanks!!

Yes, the ticket used for the fast pass must have gone through the entry turnstiles or the FP machine will say that you have an invalid ticket.
