~ A PTR for a CAMPING Trip That Might Never Be ~ *TR Started (link inside)*

:wave2:Hi! I just realized that you had this PTR, I had read your comments all over the DIS but somehow missed you had a current PTR, and look at that, here you went and spent the day at a Montgomery County Park! Beautiful day today, wasn't it? :goodvibes So now I am off to read the rest of your PTR and with 86 pages that is going to take a while :p But I will certainly pay attention to following your final 5 day countdown! So is your spring break next week? Looking forward to the next posts... :thumbsup2

Looks like Stitch had a great time. Not too sure about the boys in that one pic.:laughing:I'm sure they had a great time.

I don't remember that park and we lived in Montgomery County. Have you ever been to Bethesda Park? I guess it still has the train. We loved going to it. Memories!

Yeah..I had the boys make the envelopes for our 2007 trip and they turned out so cute! They enjoyed helping and some of the things they wrote on the envelopes were very sweet. I loved their little personal touch...glad your boys enjoyed themselves! That Stitch just doesn't like to be left out does he??

Y'all give me such great ideas! :goodvibes

Sounds like a fun day with Stitch!

But what's letterboxing?

Letterboxing is a very old activity. Basically, you get clues to the letterboxes and once you find them, you put a stamp in the box log book and put a copy of their stamp in your own log book. It's kind of like treasure hunting. Have you heard of geocaching? Geocaching isn't as old as letterboxing and it uses coordinates to find a cache - no stamps involved.

You can learn more at www.letterboxing.org and www.atlasquest.com. :thumbsup2

Now we're on page 85... :confused3

No - now we're on page 86! :rotfl:

:welcome: Thanks for stopping by! :goodvibes Yes, it was a beautiful day - a much needed one. We don't really have spring break. The boys get maybe 3 days off around Easter. We're just taking them out of school for the week.

Stitch is just a free spirit...

Glad he and the boys had fun!

But, what is letterboxing?? :confused3

Kathy

See my response to Amy above. I am also going to blog about letterboxing later today (link in my profile). It's a great activity that our family loves.

Are you excited or what??:cool1:

VERY!!! :dancer:

Do you mean Cabin John Regional Park? That one is in Bethesda and has a train. We've been there many times. There are so many great parks and playgrounds in Maryland!

Those pictures of Stitch and the boys are too cute! I love the one with Stitch on the "Do not Touch" sign.....what a little rascal!

Isn't it great to be able to be outside? It's still a little chilly here for a day at the park (maybe not for some, but I'm a bit of a wimp!) We are finally seeing sunshine though and this morning I woke up to birds singing! YAY!:)

I can't believe you are leaving THIS WEEK!! I'm so excited for you! How's that packing coming?? ;)

My Goodness!

Carissa, this weekend, you'll be at Walt Disney World!!

I'm so excited for you!! party:

Kathy

I know!!! I can't believe it myself. Is it wrong for an almost 35 year old woman to be giddy with excitement?? :dance3:

Maryland is in a great location. We have fairly mild winters and the summers aren't as bad as in the south. The air was cool yesterday, but the sun was pretty hot. I'm a bit worried about the heat in Florida. :scared:

:rolleyes1

I have most of the boys clothes packed and I have a pile of my clothes that I want to bring along. I really do much better when working under pressure. ;)

Those envelopes are so cute!!!

And, you are starting packing way before I ever do. I never pack until the night before going someplace! (Well, unless I'm moving - but that's different.)

4 DAYS!!!! :mickeyjum:stitch::goofy::sulley:

Glad someone else is like me! :thumbsup2 I hate packing. :sad2:

4 DAYS!!!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

One week from today we should be finishing up my birthday dinner at Kona and heading back to MK! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Just a quick reminder to anyone who may have joined the PTR late - if you'd like me to send you a postcard while we're down there, please PM me your address!

Does anyone know if there is wifi in the rooms at POR? I thought I read somewhere that there was, but I'm not holding my breath. We'll be bringing the laptop so that we can upload pictures each day - it would just be a bonus if I was able to check in now and again. :rolleyes1

LOVE all the Stitch mischief!!!!:thumbsup2 I can't believe your trip is only 4 days away! I hope you have a GREAT time and of course safe travels!:goodvibes

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EARLY!!! I will definitely think of you though because Matthew's Birthday is on Sunday and mine is on Thursday!!:thumbsup2

I think it was WiFi at POR, may have been dial up. You do have to pay for it, I think $7 or $9 for a 24 hour period.

Thanks Diane! :goodvibes I am REALLY excited for my birthday this year. Okay - I'm always excited for my birthday. But, to celebrate it at Disney World is really special.

Happy early Birthday to Matthew! I'll be thinking of him while I'm at DHS! :goodvibes (and I'll wait on wishing YOU a happy birthday ;) )

Oh yeah - that makes sense. Stinker. I can't see paying for it. I'll just have to suck it up and go through withdrawl. :rolleyes1

Happy 3 days!!!!

Chuck has Thursday off so I'll be able to have some help getting everything ready and running errands. Since Missy is making me feel so unorganized - I think I will come up with a short list of things I really need to remember to do/bring. :flower3:
