~ A PTR for a CAMPING Trip That Might Never Be ~ *TR Started (link inside)*

All of your guys are cuties!

As a teacher, I can say that it would bring a smile to my face to have a child walk in with a tardy slip that said they were late because their mom was doing Disney planning!

Your boys will love the T-Rex atmosphere. We were there just to take pictures in November, and I immediately thought it would be a little boy's dream place. They have the Build-a-Dino shop, too, and it was very popular.

Your ADRs look great, too. You guys are going to have an awesome time! A friend and I will be there March 18th-22nd, so if you want me to get pictures of any particular thing, I can try to do that, if we're in the area.

I love the idea mommtothreeboys had about having the kids decorate the mousekeeping envelopes!

Happy planning for the next few weeks.

P.S. The Alaska pictures are awesome! I would love to go there someday. I have a friend who has been there to visit her brother and family a few times, and she always comes back with incredible pictures. It is a beautiful place.

Hi! I've seen you around these boards for a long time so it's a real treat to have you stop by. :goodvibes And thank you - I think they're pretty cute too. :)

So you'll be there for the start of the Flower and Garden Festival. I've heard about the new Pirate Adventure area so I'm really curious about that.

It most definitely is - and it's so laid back. The air in Ketchikan seemed so fresh and clean!

A few months ago I purchased a bag to hold my pins. I don't have many pins since I've really only just begun my collection. Two Christmases ago I did buy some with the intent of starting my own collection, but that didn't happen. In fact, none of the boys really did much trading on our last trip.

So - this year I want to give it a go. I've heard it's quite addicting!

Here is the bag I purchased:

And this is the set of pins it came with:

Here is one other set that I own (sorry it's not a great picture - stupid flash! - but the bottom one is Goofy):

There isn't a lot of space in this bag, but it will do for now. I only have a few other single pins in there. I will probably try and purchase a few more off of ebay to trade.

If anyone has any pin questions - feel free to ask here. Keith (Goofster57) is THE Pin Master. How many pins do you have Keith? Thousands?

Carissa, I love our pin collections and ebay has such a great selection at vey reasonable prices. In fact, I have to be careful about how many pins I buy on vacation because they tend to add up over the course of a week.

That is a very cool pin bag and I love your pins -- Mickey and the gang are very glam in their evening clothes!

I like that set too. :goodvibes I just bought 15 pins off of ebay for $1.89 each (and free shipping). :thumbsup2 Hopefully, I won't buy anymore! :rolleyes1

I LOVE your pin bag!! The boys fell in love with pin trading last April! I also just bought a set of 10 pins off ebay for the boys for Christmas, it is actually great to do it that way because when some are girly looking, it is a no brainer as to which one they will trade!! I hope you really enjoy it! I bet it is VERY addicting!:goodvibes

I can't believe Chuck doubted you!! Shame on him! lol

Now the boys know, huh? Well it'll be fun for them to anticipate it and help plan now. :goodvibes

'Ohana for your birthday sounds wonderful!!

Ths Sunshine Seasons sushi is not "impressive". It is good for what it is I think. It is a lot like what you'd get in a grocery store, more expensive though!

I don't know how Connor does with walking, but you may be able to get away with not having a stroller. My 4 yr old did sit in our umbrella stroller when 2 yr old wasn't using it, but we could have gotten away without one.

Wait a minute, am I reading this right? You must do RnR but you aren't sure you can handle SM?? You must do SM too! :woohoo:

We rented a pontoon boat twice from the Poly. And it was SO FUN!! We opted not to rent one on the Sassagoula River because the boat transportation that goes from POR to DTD, etc. is enough of a tour of that area we felt. But being able to go around the Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake was soooooo cool and worth it. We will definitely do it again many times in the future!

We have not done a carriage ride before, and we are now a big enough family that we would have to get two carriages, therefore twice the cost. :( So that'll be something we do "someday". You guys can fit into one though.

That picture Goofster57 posted of "Chuck" hauling the bags is hilarious!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Fun pin bag and pins. Good luck not buying anymore!! ;)

for jenny-hi to you too!

Do I detect famous last words??? :lmao:

Knowing me - probably! :rotfl: I have a feeling it may be your bad influence that makes me purchase one of those Vera Bradley bags. :rolleyes1 Afterall, it's a given that I need a new bag for each trip!

I got a good deal on that bag/pins online somewhere. :thumbsup2

Crazy man. :dance3:

Thanks for the stroller info. Chuck thinks we can do without (I have my doubts for Epcot) so we'll probably just play it by ear and see how it goes. One thing I hate about having the stroller is the constant in and out when you stop at an attraction - having to park it and retrieve. It'll be nice not to have one.

Cool. I'll check out doing it at the other places. I just thought it would be nice and easy to just rent from POR, but I want to really enjoy the sights.

I have mixed feelings about not having a stroller anymore. FOR SURE it'll be great to not have to deal with it, park it, retrieve it, manuver it around people and things, etc. But then, where do we put all our bottled waters?? lol I'm not one who wants to carry several bottled waters around on me (or on poor dh) all the time, so I'm not sure how we will handle that!

I won't have you there to go with me! :sad1:

Aww, don't remind me! :(

It would be easier for you to just get it there. But the other place would be much more worth it (I have not rented one on the river so take my opinion for what it's worth). You'd also have more space to roam. On the river you'd have to stop for the passing boats everytime you go under a bridge, on the lake/lagoon you really have space to go, go, go! More freedom. :goodvibes

That is definitely something I've thought about. What happens when we get our popcorn and we have the souvenir bucket to carry around?? We shouldn't have to worry much about jackets, but we might.

Some day.

I'd probably be less stressed about it if there was more space to move. :thumbsup2

Yeah, right?! Who wants to carry that stuff around? lol I find this funny because obviously people do without strollers all the time, but I think there must be a "mourning" period when you first stop using them. :rotfl:

Yep, that too!

There is a mourning period, but you do get over it!! Now I look the the stroller gang and am SO glad I'm beyond that! :yay: My baby is now 8!

Oh YAY!!!! I need to have DH come read this because he thinks I have way too many bags.....:scared1: ! He must be joking...there is NO such thing! LOL!

I'm not normally that into bags, but the last two trips I've found a new bag for the parks. The hipster by Vera Bradley just looks cute and comfy! :goodvibes

Good to know! :)

The wheels are turning in my head. Can you see them???

I found out that we CAN add the dining plan to our room even though we're not actually doing a package with tickets. So, I started looking at some numbers.

Just the three meals I have planned so far (not counting T-Rex Cafe) will cost us around $300 easily. The total cost to add on the dining plan would be about $750. It makes sense to me to just go for it. What do y'all think?? :rolleyes1

I did it. I added the dining plan. :rolleyes1

Now I need to do more planning. :cool1:

:woohoo:
We're doing the Dining Plan on our trip too. I think with kids it's a good deal because the cost of one day is about the same as one character meal. So it's almost like you get the snack and counter service for free. That's my story and I'm sticking to it:rotfl:

Anyway, this gives you a chance to plan even more fun meals. I'll be interested to hear your reports because we still haven't decided where we want to go.

PS Right back at you Liz!
