We've visited WDW twice in October and thought the weather was perfect - hopefully it will cool down a bit for you.

I bought some pins on ebay for the boys last time too - it was a good way to get some traders!

We have a friend at WDW this week. Yesterday it was about 90 and hot, and then last night at MNSHP it rained. No need to worry about the weather - I am sure you will have a good time.

I'm sure we will have a good time. It will just be much better if we aren't sweating to death all week!!

I hope you're right and it does cool down. Anything under 90 would be good! We just don't navigate the parks well in the sweltering heat.

Start now and you can get a lot of good pin deals by next November! Don't pay much more than $1 each for them and don't bid on any that you have to pay shipping!

DS8 bought that Minnie as Princess Leia pin. I think it was around $9-$10. But his 2 favorite things - Minnie and Star Wars. It was perfect for him.

No, DS10 isn't really into Eeyore too much. I'm sure those will probably be the first 2 he trades!

The weather for us in Nov was great.. Oct was super humid... felt like I was still in Texas!!! Hated it!! But... I think by Nov it'll be less humidity and not sooooo hot. In fact..we are getting some major humidity today and tomorrow here...real feel tomorrow is gonna be over 100!!! Can you believe that? Then Fri nite after the next cool front....49 over night!!!!Once Halloween passes...it usually turns a little cooler here.

At least your kids will get to really enjoy the pool!!! It'll be warm enough they don't catch pnuemonia in the hotel when they get out!!! I always hate that feeling.....the water is okay, but then you are freezing to death trying to get in and change.

If your kids aren't shy they will love to do pin trading! My kids stop CM's all over the place to look at their pins!! Your DD may be a little too young, but your DS would probably have fun with it!

So I'm really starting to worry is is going to be HOT when we go. There are several reports here on the DIS that it is still in the 90's everyday and extremely hot & humid. Is that normal for mid October? I guess I just expected it to start to cool down a bit by now. DH's co-worker was just there from last Thursday to this Monday. He said it was so hot and miserable it just ruined the trip. One day it was 97 and his wife passed out in Italy in Epcot and the CM's had to cover her with ice. Not my idea of a fun vacation.

Maybe I should have stuck with January.

Hoping it cools down into the 70's & lower 80's over the next 3 weeks!

If this trip is a bust you can always go again in January to make up for it.

Today I've been thinking about scrapbooking. Trying to decide what to do for this upcoming trip. In the past I have bought Thompson Products large photo albums and covered them with Disney fabric for my trip scrapbook/photo album. Then this past year that company went out of business and I haven't been able to find a photo album comparable in size/quality/price. So for the last trip I got a really neat Disney photo album at the Hallmark store and used it. I still made the kids photo albums by covering a small WalMart album with fabric, like I always do.

So I thought I'd share my past photo albums and a page from each with you. . .

I do scrapbooks of the kids through the years and the Disney scrapbooks. I used to be really good about keeping up with the kids scrapbooks, but have really fallen behind lately. Like probably a year behind. I really need to get caught up on that. Maybe this winter.

I need to get on the Disney scrapbook too. I usually have one ready before we even leave!

For Lacey's Christmas present, I am making her a scrapbook which will include pictures of her from the time she was born until now. I've got 22 years to cover so I know I will be busy.

Do you have a Hobby Lobby nearby? The one near our house puts their photo/scrapbook albums, scrapbook paper, refill pages and stickers on for half price all the time. They have some really cool Disney stuff.

No, there's no Hobby Lobby local. There is one over in Youngstown OH. Never been to it though.

Glad to hear I am not the only one behind on my scrapbooking!

We started the pressed pennies on the 2nd trip and got the majority of them on that trip and the 3rd trip. We only needed a few more to fill the book in January. We had a lot of fun with it! The hard part was trying to remember which ones we already had so we wouldn't get duplicates.

Shelly~ love it!! I recognize the book from Hallmark!! I loooove that! I have never done the scrapbook thing.... I do stay up with all the pics and put them in albums... and we have separate photo albums for travel. Yours are sooo cute..and your boys were babies the first time!!!!!
I see your hair is growing back out.... are you gonna do the Lock of Love again? It is so pretty!
