A Pre Thanksgiving/Christmas Vacation, Our First Split Stay & Our 5th Trip to Disney!

Your scrapbooks are beautiful!! The boys have really grown up since your first trip!

I think we might start collecting pressed pennies - we bought a couple last time, but I couldn't tell you where they are right now... I think both boys would really enjoy it - especially Alex.

Love all of your scrapbooks. I bought a 2009 scrapbook back in January and have yet to touch it. You see, I've never scrapbooked before but I want to learn how. My mom is going to teach me (someday), but I already went a little crazy and bought tons of paper, stickers, etc. As far as pics of Maddie....I have ages 0-about 4yo in photo boxes. From age 4 on...they're all on my computer!!! So, I'm behind by 7 years right now.

We filled a pressed penny book on our 2 trips this year. Madison was all about it! If you google Disney pressed pennies, there is a website with a printable list of every single pressed penny on Disney property. It's almost 20 pages of pennies, but it's worth it. Madison enjoyed checking off which ones so got each day.

Great scrapbooks Shelly! I try to keep up with my girls' books too, but I tell you, all those vacation books distract me! I've done a couple Disney ones and I re-did my parents' wedding album into a scrapbook too. It's so much fun - and because I scrapbook, I get to go on girls' weekends and scrap!!

Hi there! Sorry to have missed out on everything the past couple of days. All caught up now! :goodvibes Had to work late, then shopped yesterday evening for our trip (found a great backpack/purse at REI to carry around the parks). :yay:

Shelly, I absolutely *LOVE* your albums. What cute photos, and so fun to see the changes over the years in the boys. I have bunches of photos from all of our WDW trips, and it would be great to organize them like you have organized all of yours. Very nice! :thumbsup2

You did great on the pins. I especially like the tink silhouette pin! I'm sure your sons will get some good trades with the ones they decide to part with.

Regarding your new rides list, I know you'll be riding HM, but Shelly, not to worry - you will never be alone...your ghost hosts will be with you! :lmao:
I've never been on CoP, but LOVE B&B and Nemo - must do's on my list. Nemo is so well done that you forget about the costumed people operating the puppets, and really get into the story. popcorn:: Little Mermaid is really cute-my guys even enjoyed it. ;) UoE -A bit long, but a good ride, I think. If you have time you should do it at least once, just to say you did. HoP - didn't do last time, so probably will this time. Nice for a rest if nothing else.

Shelly~ love it!! I recognize the book from Hallmark!! I loooove that! I have never done the scrapbook thing.... I do stay up with all the pics and put them in albums... and we have separate photo albums for travel. Yours are sooo cute..and your boys were babies the first time!!!!!
I see your hair is growing back out.... are you gonna do the Lock of Love again? It is so pretty!

Thanks Shawna! :goodvibes

I know, the boys look so little in that 2005 picture. That day was actually DS8's 4th birthday and DS10 was 6. So little and cute! Now they are growing like a bad weed!!

I'm thinking about cutting my hair off and donating it again. It's almost as long as it was when I had it all cut off just before that 2008 WDW picture. . . . Maybe this spring.

You should give it a try, it's a lot of fun! I'm sure your boys would enjoy it!

Wow your trip is coming up fast!!! :woohoo:

Congrats on the new park bag! :cool1:

Thanks for all the thoughts on the rides. You're right, I guess I won't be alone on the HM even if I do have to go by myself!:rotfl:

I have decided that we are definitely doing the Little Mermaid, even if the boys don't want to!

Woke up to SNOW this morning. :scared1: It's all melted and gone now, but still, snow in mid-October. That's just crazy. :sad2:

Yesterday DH was talking to a co-worker in their Florida office (yes DH's company has an office/plant in Lakeland FL, not far from WDW :rolleyes1) and he said they were just dying down there from the record high temps they have been getting. Saying that they all always look forward to this time of year because the heat & humidity are usually way down from what they experienced all summer. Not this year! But they are expecting a cold front to move in and bring the temps down to the 80's and maybe even 70's.

And us up here - well we are hoping for that warm front we are supposed to get next week with a few days reaching almost 60!! :wizard:

Only a few flurries here this morning - but 80's/70's sounds great to me!! It's way too early to wake up to 30's! You should have seen me trying to find hats/gloves this morning while the kids sat in the car almost late for school! :rolleyes1

Lucky for me (well maybe not so lucky) we already had the hats & gloves out because we have been playing soccer in the freezing temps the last few Sundays.

That's really funny, Sea. :sad2: I think you owe us a palm tree picture to make up for that comment. :lmao:

Snow already! :scared1: It's just cold and rainy here- blah!
My farmer neighbor says it's going to be a harsh winter. He does some sort of bean in the jar thing and some other old farmer wisdom stuff to predict it. :confused3 In the 5 years we've lived next to him, he's been right every winter with his predictions! He said we should be due for a snow somewhere around Christmas too. I would love a white Christmas- even if it's just flurries!

Where's that palm tree, Sea?

Isn't weather weird??? I'm convinced no one can predict it more than two days ahead. Makes for interesting planning and packing doesn't it?

We're enjoying sunshine and about 45 right now and hoping for a warmer dry weekend up to 60. Which is about where it should be. I have to clean out my planters and garden stuff this weekend. Yuck.

I know, this weather is just plain CRAZY!! :crazy2:

Okay, so the crazy Disney dreams started last night. You know them. You all have them shortly before your trips too, right? Please tell me you do and that I'm not crazy!!

So we were in MK and going to ride BTMRR. It was just DS8 and I that were going to ride (which is weird, usually DS10 rides with me). DH was there just hanging out. There were only about 8-10 people in line. I remember taking a picture to show you guys just how uncrowded is was. :rotfl:There were no CM's working at BTMRR. You just went in and loaded on the train and it took off. Then afterwards we walked through a crazy looking door and we were in Canada in Epcot. :confused3 DH was talking to a CM and DS8 and I sat down at a table and someone brought us some pizza and corn on the cob. Oh, and our neighbor boy was there.

CRAZY, right??? Why were MK and Epcot connected? Why was BTMRR empty? Why were we given pizza and corn on the cob? In Canada? Why was the neighbor kid in Epcot? AND WHERE WAS DS10???

:faint:

DS10 must have been with DH, because you didn't mention him either. At least he wasn't wandering around the parks alone! :lmao:

Now go back and read again. I did mention DH. He wasn't doing anything with us or even talking to us, but he was there! :rotfl:

Boy, I hope DS10 wasn't out roaming the parks alone! :lmao:
