A Pre Thanksgiving/Christmas Vacation, Our First Split Stay & Our 5th Trip to Disney!

Hum- I guess my riding TOT by ourselves at night impressed me the most. ;)Really kind of unnerving to be in that elevator with noone else around you.

Well-- if he doesn't ride HM, maybe he'll ride it next time. Has he ever seen the movie? We just watched it last night- the kids have it- and I had never seen it. There's a lot in the movie that is so very much like the ride.

Of course at midnight when it started thunder and lightning, Belle thought for sure a Zombie from the crypt was after her and jumped into bed with us.:rotfl2:

DS8 and I watched it when it was on TV once. DS10 wouldn't even watch it. :sad2:

Yay Shelly:cheer2:...congrats on 12,000 posts!! :worship: I'm not even to 100 yet...I was all excited when I hit 75!! :lmao:

Shelly, I too am surprised you haven't ridden HM! I hope you get to ride it this time around. It's unlike any ride, anywhere. I've never been into scary things (fast yes, scary no), and HM is one of my fav rides. Once your DS gets on the doom buggy and rides it through, I bet he'll want to ride it again and again. :goodvibes

Holy Cow!!! I can NOT believe you haven't done HM!!!! You have truly missed out!! It's one of our favs!!! You gotta do it...make them do it once and see if they want to do it again...my kids love it!!
And super congrats on the 12,000 posts!! I am NEVER gonna catch up to you!!!!!

I know, I know. Okay, you have all convinced me that the HM is so great that I am going to ride it no matter what, even if I have to ride it all alone! :scared:

We like the CoP...it's one of my dhs favorite things...and when you are at a hot or tiring part of the day, it's great to sit in for a while and cool off. Univ of E, never done it...isn't that seasonal? maybe not...never been interested in it. Love the Voyage of the LM...but I reaaaaallllly love Beauty and the Beast better!! They are both fun...but the B&B has lots of choreographed stuff and is way longer. I would do both, but if time is an issue...I would do B&B!!! We have never done Honey IStA either!!! My kids always say no...so I don't even ask anymore!!!
You are gonna loooove HM....lots of extra stuff to look for too...make sure they get to stand outside long enough close to the entrance to read/watch all the headstone!!!!

We did CoP on our very first trip. I do remember it being a little boring. DS8 (had just turned 4) fell asleep! I would like to try it again. He also fell asleep in the Country Bears that trip! We've never been back to it either.

We've never really been interested in Universe of Energy either. That's why I was wanting opinions. . . . Anyone think it's worth the time? Or know if it's even open in November? :confused3

I think I am going to push for Voyage of the LM and maybe try talking the boys into B&B too. They have never been interested in either.

Look at my tickers!!!!!!!! :yay: 25 DAYS until WDW and POR and 1 MONTH until OKW!!! :cool1:

Okay, well I think that calls for a little installment of "One Month from today. . . " :lmao:

In ONE MONTH from today - Nov 13 - We will be checking out of POR. Still undecided about if we will be taking a cab to OKW or having Disney transfer our luggage. Actually I haven't really given it much thought since the last time we talked about it here. I guess it will just be whatever we feel like! And remember I snagged that ADR at Chef Mickey's for a late breakfast. Still undecided on that too. . . Either way, we will head to DHS in the late morning and do anything we missed earlier in the week. And do all of our favorites again! Later that afternoon we have a dinner ADR at Captain's Grille. Still undecided on that one as well. Likely we will either do CM in the morning OR CG in the evening. Probably not both, as this will be our last day on the DDP and we will likely only have enough credits for one TS meal. If we do not do a TS dinner we will probably just pick up a CS meal at Good's To Go at OKW. We will head back to OKW that evening and our room should be ready. So we will unpack once again and probably spend the evening checking out OKW, the pools, and relaxing on the balcony. :cloud9:

As commanded, I have come forth to read your PTR :)

Some things we have never done and would like to try~
Haunted Mansion

Oh my goodness. You must simply make a point of going into the Haunted Mansion. It was one of my absolute favorites.

You would love One Man's Dream. Jan was the first time I'd seen it. If you are into the history of Disney and Walt it's quite fascinating. Nemo was fun too - the puppetry is awesome. HISA is sort of dated and I didn't love it. It's 4D and some kids are spooked by the things that spray on you etc. LOVE B&B, VotLM and Great Movie Ride. Universe of Energy was okay, but it is like 45 minutes. I'd say if you've done everything else, then maybe okay. Or if you need a cool place in Epcot.
I like COP and we do it every time. But that darn song is as bad as IASW for getting stuck in your head!!

I want to catch Illuminations this time too. We missed it on our last TWO visits! I'm due! Love it!

I think I will love One Man's Dream too!

UoE - 45 minutes! :scared1: Seriously? That's not going to happen.

I am excited for IllumiNations. We've only ever seen it once, and we didn't have the best spot.

You are welcome to come with us anytime...I'll let you know what's up with us AFTER you get back and tell us all about November, OKW, weather, crowds...pretty much everything! :rotfl2:

You know I will be sure to tell you all about November, OKW, the weather, the crowds, and probably way more than you will care to hear!! Even if Sea does make fun of me! :rotfl:

Is OKW on your short list??? popcorn::

My pins came in the mail already!!! :cool1:

10 pins for $10.99! :goodvibes

I was going to wait and give them to the kids right before we leave, but I don't think I can wait now! :rotfl:

I love the cameo pins. Very neat.

Thanks! :goodvibes I really like them too. I am surprised by the nice pins I got. I just showed the boys! :yay::yay: DS8 already wants to keep at least 2 of them! :faint: Guess he didn't understand the whole "I got these for you to trade" thing. . .:rotfl: Oh well, whatever makes him happy! :) Money conscience DS10 is very impressed with my great deal of $1.10 each! :lmao:
