Oh, I would buy it now too!! I flew southwest and waited a few weeks to get a good price before I bought tickets. We purchased them in February for our May trip. We got a good deal. I did keep checking as our trip got closer to see if there were lower prices but they kept going up!!

Okay, so here's what just happened:


Yesterday AT's 1:50 flight was at $99. Today it was at $89. JO alerted me to the $25 coupon with AT when booking by Oct 31 and flying by Dec 31. She also told me to book 2 and 2 rather than 4 all together, so I could use 2 coupons, saving $50! She's so smart!!

So I log on to check the price and make sure there are 4 seats available before I go to book 2 and 2. The price is still $89. So I go ahead to book the first 2 tickets - me and DS10. Price - $79!! WHAT??? I double and triple check to make sure that I have the correct dates entered and sure enough I do. I open another window and check the price there for 4, still at $89. Weird, huh? Booking 2 ticket makes a lower price than booking 4 tickets on the same flight. Okay great! So I book the first 2 and use my first $25 coupon. So the total price goes from $179.20 to $154.20!

So I go to book my second set of tickets, for DH and DS7. The price? $89. Again, WHAT??? I close down the window and try again. Still $89. And again and again. Okay, I finally give up and just book it at $89, afterall that's what I was going to pay for all 4 of them in the first place. I wonder that the price is right now? So after the $25 coupon, the total price goes from $199.20 to $174.20!

For a grand total price of $328.40

Add that to my $278 for the SW flight back and we have now paid $606.40 for flights both ways. Not bad! I am very pleased with it. Although I had hoped it would be less considering that I had a $260 SW credit.

I'm just glad it's over now!!!! One more thing off my list. One less thing to worry about.

Now let's just hope and pray that AT doesn't change their flight time to be any later or add any stops.

I told you-- sometimes I even book one tix five times, paying for each separately.

The reason is- sometimes they may have only one cheaper rate- kind of like when you get a code for a room, but they may be sold out of that block of rooms. So if you're trying for two tix, but they only have one at the cheaper rate, they will charge you the higher price.

Glad it's over and you saved $50!!!!!
