OK, so having posted an earlier thread about what to do if I agreed to only make ADRs for 2 of our 6 nights, I got some VERY interesting responses. My favorites were to make "secret" ressies and be the hero when needed! I LOVE IT! So that's what I have decided to do.
But how far do I go? My Grand Gathering won't even plan what park to do on what day. Their logic is that we are going on one of the slowest weeks of the year (last week in January) so we won't need plans, we will just "go with the flow". Now, I am all about "the flow", but I do want to sit together for meals. There are 9 of us (6 adults, DD6, DS4, DD2) and I don't want to spend all day with these people and then have to sit across the room from them. We were blessed enough to get a GV at OKW (at the 8 month mark, no less!) and I am thrilled with that. But how many ressies do I make?
In other words, do I make ressies for somewhere in each park each night? That way we're covered. Also, how rude is it to no show? I have been in the F&B business for 18 years and I don't know if I can bring myself to no show. Also, how far in advance can I cancel? And how much time on the phone to cancel day of?
ARRRGH!
Should I just shut up and go with the flow? (That's rhetorical, don't answer that)
