A manager I used to work for coined the phrase “A plan is only the basis for change” when things got changed on some of our projects, which is quite apt for this trip, our sixth to the sunshine state but shamefully our first trip report on the DIS Boards.
First up – introductions. Myself – WiganTony, unsurprisingly called Tony and from Wigan (what an unoriginal user name!!, DW Joanne, and teenage drama queen DD Alex.
The Plan – flights from Manchester via Paris to Orlando (thanks Delta!!), 3 nights at the Sheraton Resort LBV (previously known as the Sheraton Safari) using SPG points from our problem stay at the Boston Sheraton last year, and 14 nights at Old Key West with free DDP. First few days the plan is to visit Seaworld, then mainly Disney during our time at OKW but with a surprise birthday visit to Discovery Cove for Joanne (one of those “special birthdays” IYKWIM!!) and a planned day over to Tampa to visit Big Cat Rescue then onward to Clearwater Beach for a dolphin boat ride.
