Ahem. So where was I? Oh yes, it was the Disney Eve. Quickly we started and finished our packing

I know, I know.
Around 11:30 we decide to watch Cinderella in bed, since we are going to be visiting Cinderella's Castle and all. Jeremy hates this movie and is asleep in all of 10 minutes so I set our alarm to a beloved 2:30AM and get about an hour of sleep.
At 2:30 I jump out of bed barely able to contain myself and for the next 25 minutes pry Jeremy out of his sanctuary. Our conversation went something like this
Me: Honey, get up it's time for Disney!
Jeremy: ::grumbling with face in pillow:: No, why did you book the flight so early. I can't. I don't want to....I don't feel good! (his last resort).
My man lovvvvvvves to sleep and when you take sleep away from him he is GROUCHYYYY. The next three hours were pure delight...really.
Finally around 3:45 we made it out of the house to find it was snowing...only added to our joy of going to the Florida sunshine!
We made our way to the airport, parked in long parking and a few security checks and bad breakfasts later we were strapped in and ready to go
The flight was pretty uneventful but soon enough we were on our favorite express and at our Port Orleans Riverside.
I was a little nervous about staying at this resort as I had never visited it before but I was pleasently suprised by the decor. We made our way to check in and met our receptionist who pausing for only one click of her keyboard told us our room was ready. Our room was ready? Was this some kind of sick joke that they played on people here? I was already fascinating about a nice warm shower when I cut my lovely visions off to ask her not once, not twice but three times if she was sure. By the third time she gave me a look of such exasperation that I knew she THOUGHT the room was ready. We made our way through the confusing layout to Parterre Place, and I had it set in my head the key wouldn't work. While we walked over to the door we both let out a kind of nervous laugh. Deep down inside I knew we were wondering which would be the fastest route to the shower...if that key opened the door I was determined to be the first, even if I had to crawl over hubby. Jay put the key in and sure enough the door opened! The next few seconds are a blur of running, screaming and hearing phrases as "I'm taking the first shower and I mean it!" "no, you made me wake up at 2am and I didn't get to shower, so there"....did he really just say, so there? In the end it was I who took the shower, thank you very much
After we were ready we made our way over to the much hated bus stop. I know some people lovvvvve not having to drive for a week, but not us. We hate the buses and if we weren't trying to save money we would have DEFINITELY rented a car!
Where to go, no one knows. We decided EPCOT would be our destination of choice because we were in much need of a Fiesta Margarita. Yummm. After a nice time on the bus holding on for dear life, praying not to land on anyone's lap while watching mothers of all ages and sizes taking up 5 seats at a time because after all, they absolutely need that fourth baby bag, and each one definitely needs its own seat, we arrived.
We made our way into our favorite park taking in the sights and sounds. We were immediately distracted by club cool and decided to take in a little refreshment. Unfortunately I had already tricked Jay into drinking Beverly on our last trip so it was only watermelon soda this time.
We made our way over to Mexico and we were both a bit hungry so Jay waited in line for some Mexican flavor and I went to get our wonderful margaritas to bring us back to our happy place
We scored some seats right next to the lake and ate and drank merrily looking over the beautiful park. After some time we explored through the mexican pavillion and then went to Norway to visit our favorite anorexic polar bear on Maelstrom.
We were a bit out of it from being up so early but suddenly we were inspired to go to the Magic Kingdom. After all, how can't you on your first day at the parks? Even if you say you won't, and really mean it deep down inside, somehow it hooks you. Whether it's battling your favorite pirate on Peter Pan, or spinning around in a mad man's teacups, something always brings you back. For me, it was the thought of Splash Mountain.
We took the long walk back to the monorail and what seemed like a very short while later we made it to our laughing place.
It hit me as we walked through the magical gates and saw Main Street. As always I got a bit teary eyed. There were a bunch of characters out and we got a pretty cool picture if I do say so myself.
We not only got Stromboli, but we also got J. Worthington Foulfellow and Gideon. Yes that's right, I remember their names too. Foulfellow took me for a little stroll around Main Street and I heard Jay call out "have a nice day honey". Men are so protective these days!
After meeting several other characters (the whole bunch from Pinocchio were out) we made our way straight over to Splash Mountain. I don't know what it is about this ride but I love it. It is absolutely my favorite, hands down. There was only a ten minute wait so wait we did. We never had to wait for this ride for whatever reason so it was fun to see all the detail they put into the que area.
That was the understatement of the century. Poor Jeremy got absolutely SOAKED! It never fails, he always does. Poor guy.
After riding we met some pretty cool guys.
We sat down for the parade at this point. I love the parades and can't miss them. It's just one of those things for me. The parade was cute as always but it was suuuuuuuuny. And when I say sunny, I mean sunny. Every single picture we took you could see the sun beams over the characters. It was unbelievable. I've never seen anything like it in my life.
After the parade we went flying with Donald at Philharmagic and after that we were DONE. It was too much. We decided to make our way back to the resort to relax. After all, we had dinner at our favorite restaurant to look foward to!
