A Pirate and a Princess Go to the World......Updated Ch. 12/pics/COMPLETE

WOW! Well, I'm totally impressed! :thumbsup2 You guys are nuts!!! (and I mean that in a very loving and understanding way!) I bow to your greatness! Now THAT's Disney dedication for ya!

What a great start!!! :rotfl:

-Michelle

I can hardly believe poor Jeremy put on this Academy Award performance and truly made himself ill. It's even funnier that he had to endure getting a shot when he was no longer sick! You guys are even zanier than we are, and I thought we were pretty nutty. :lmao: I am looking forward to hearing the rest of your adventures, or perhaps should I say, misadventures?!

WoW!!! This sounds like something we would try...and we would have the same results too!! Oh honey.........:rotfl2:

Jeremy: It's okay darling, I'll poison myself at work throw up at my desk claiming salmonella and all will be well
.
.
.
Jeremy: ...groaning into cell phone from downstairs lobby of office......this was a terrrible idea
Me: Jeremy I told you not to do it!

OMG, this is crazy! I love it! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:

Can't wait to read more! :thumbsup2

KimAshton- thank you for your response. Yes, we will do just about anything for the mouse! :yay: <---- meant to be jumping jacks!

Michelle- yes, we are definitely a bit nutty...especially Jay!!

Kay- I definitely think that misadventures is the term you are looking for! Poor Jeremy, it was so difficult not to laugh hysterically at the time.

Happyindisney- I'm happy to hear that there's another couple out there like us! Anthing for Mickey! :wizard:

sk8leigh- thanks for reading, I hope you enjoy the rest!

So thats probably the funniest thing i've ever heard! leave it to you two to do something that nuts! I love it! Its something we would do! Im glad you didn't go with the visine. I've heard of people getting HORRIBLY sick .. it probably would have ruined the whole vaca! Haha .. Im still laughing about it. Thats great. I'll have to tell Todd that one when he gets home!! .. 3 Days and a wake up! Im pumped! Bye dear!

Too, too, too funny!! It's like I was watching(reading) some twisted Seinfeld/Disney episode. :happytv:

"Slip him a Mickey? I can't believe I just said Mickey...What do you mean you have a Mickey source?"

"Sure, it will just make him whoozy, he might keel over a little but he'll be fine'' (especially after the shot in the buttocks!!!:rotfl: )

You two are crazy...what we will not endure in the name of Disney!

Can't wait to read all the details:banana:

PS I leave in 40 days so if you could strrrreeetttccchh your report out a bit it will help pass the time:hourglass

I have to tell you when I was reading about him getting the shot I was holding my own tushy. LOL.

Blayne- yes, thank god we didn't use the Visine! That would have been awful! I can't wait for you to go.....I'm so excited for you and for your trip report. There's nothing like going and experiencing everything for the first time.

PKWallaby- hahaha I know very seinfeld-ish. I'm jealous that you're going so soon but I'll do my best to try and stretch it out!

Kim- yes, he was a very good sport too. He said it hurt him all day and all night :scared:

We really enjoyed your last report and looking forward to this one.

I might have to think twice about going to Disney World if it meant getting a shot.:scared:

I think I would have faked a mental breakdown instead.

OK, I have to subscribe! This is going to be very funny me thinks! I just popped over to wish Blayne bu-by! For those of you who may not know (those living under a rock I mean) she and her sweety leave tom.! I am so green! :thumbsup2 BUT, I did have 4 trips last year and DH said he would KILL me if we went that many times in a year again! If he only knew what I know...:stir:

Ahem. So where was I? Oh yes, it was the Disney Eve. Quickly we started and finished our packing :rolleyes1 I know, I know.

Around 11:30 we decide to watch Cinderella in bed, since we are going to be visiting Cinderella's Castle and all. Jeremy hates this movie and is asleep in all of 10 minutes so I set our alarm to a beloved 2:30AM and get about an hour of sleep.

At 2:30 I jump out of bed barely able to contain myself and for the next 25 minutes pry Jeremy out of his sanctuary. Our conversation went something like this

Me: Honey, get up it's time for Disney!
Jeremy: ::grumbling with face in pillow:: No, why did you book the flight so early. I can't. I don't want to....I don't feel good! (his last resort).

My man lovvvvvvves to sleep and when you take sleep away from him he is GROUCHYYYY. The next three hours were pure delight...really.

Finally around 3:45 we made it out of the house to find it was snowing...only added to our joy of going to the Florida sunshine!

We made our way to the airport, parked in long parking and a few security checks and bad breakfasts later we were strapped in and ready to go :thumbsup2

The flight was pretty uneventful but soon enough we were on our favorite express and at our Port Orleans Riverside.

I was a little nervous about staying at this resort as I had never visited it before but I was pleasently suprised by the decor. We made our way to check in and met our receptionist who pausing for only one click of her keyboard told us our room was ready. Our room was ready? Was this some kind of sick joke that they played on people here? I was already fascinating about a nice warm shower when I cut my lovely visions off to ask her not once, not twice but three times if she was sure. By the third time she gave me a look of such exasperation that I knew she THOUGHT the room was ready. We made our way through the confusing layout to Parterre Place, and I had it set in my head the key wouldn't work. While we walked over to the door we both let out a kind of nervous laugh. Deep down inside I knew we were wondering which would be the fastest route to the shower...if that key opened the door I was determined to be the first, even if I had to crawl over hubby. Jay put the key in and sure enough the door opened! The next few seconds are a blur of running, screaming and hearing phrases as "I'm taking the first shower and I mean it!" "no, you made me wake up at 2am and I didn't get to shower, so there"....did he really just say, so there? In the end it was I who took the shower, thank you very much:earboy2:

After we were ready we made our way over to the much hated bus stop. I know some people lovvvvve not having to drive for a week, but not us. We hate the buses and if we weren't trying to save money we would have DEFINITELY rented a car!

Where to go, no one knows. We decided EPCOT would be our destination of choice because we were in much need of a Fiesta Margarita. Yummm. After a nice time on the bus holding on for dear life, praying not to land on anyone's lap while watching mothers of all ages and sizes taking up 5 seats at a time because after all, they absolutely need that fourth baby bag, and each one definitely needs its own seat, we arrived. :cool1:

We made our way into our favorite park taking in the sights and sounds. We were immediately distracted by club cool and decided to take in a little refreshment. Unfortunately I had already tricked Jay into drinking Beverly on our last trip so it was only watermelon soda this time.

P1310016.jpg

We made our way over to Mexico and we were both a bit hungry so Jay waited in line for some Mexican flavor and I went to get our wonderful margaritas to bring us back to our happy place :hippie:

We scored some seats right next to the lake and ate and drank merrily looking over the beautiful park. After some time we explored through the mexican pavillion and then went to Norway to visit our favorite anorexic polar bear on Maelstrom.

We were a bit out of it from being up so early but suddenly we were inspired to go to the Magic Kingdom. After all, how can't you on your first day at the parks? Even if you say you won't, and really mean it deep down inside, somehow it hooks you. Whether it's battling your favorite pirate on Peter Pan, or spinning around in a mad man's teacups, something always brings you back. For me, it was the thought of Splash Mountain.

We took the long walk back to the monorail and what seemed like a very short while later we made it to our laughing place.

It hit me as we walked through the magical gates and saw Main Street. As always I got a bit teary eyed. There were a bunch of characters out and we got a pretty cool picture if I do say so myself.

P1310029.jpg

We not only got Stromboli, but we also got J. Worthington Foulfellow and Gideon. Yes that's right, I remember their names too. Foulfellow took me for a little stroll around Main Street and I heard Jay call out "have a nice day honey". Men are so protective these days!

After meeting several other characters (the whole bunch from Pinocchio were out) we made our way straight over to Splash Mountain. I don't know what it is about this ride but I love it. It is absolutely my favorite, hands down. There was only a ten minute wait so wait we did. We never had to wait for this ride for whatever reason so it was fun to see all the detail they put into the que area.

P1310039.jpg

That was the understatement of the century. Poor Jeremy got absolutely SOAKED! It never fails, he always does. Poor guy.

After riding we met some pretty cool guys.

P1310037.jpg

We sat down for the parade at this point. I love the parades and can't miss them. It's just one of those things for me. The parade was cute as always but it was suuuuuuuuny. And when I say sunny, I mean sunny. Every single picture we took you could see the sun beams over the characters. It was unbelievable. I've never seen anything like it in my life.

After the parade we went flying with Donald at Philharmagic and after that we were DONE. It was too much. We decided to make our way back to the resort to relax. After all, we had dinner at our favorite restaurant to look foward to!

You caught my eye with the "poisoning" episode - you guys are my kind of people! ;)

Enjoying your TR so far and by the way...I just wanted to say that I was really sad to hear that you and your fiance' didn't have a very good experience when you tried Raglan Road during your November trip. I thought you had mentioned that your lovey was a fan of whisky - I'm afraid to ask if you guys tried that and whether or not you enjoyed it.

It seems like RR runs hot and cold from what I see around here - people either love it or hate it and I guess Jason and I were lucky that we hit it on a good night.

Anyway, looking forward to the rest of your trip. Thanks for sharing and congrats on the upcoming wedding! :goodvibes

Oh my gosh I've never laughed so hard at the poisoning part, WHY didn't I meet a man who loved Disney that much . . . you are one lucky girl I have to tell you!!! I'm all locked into my seat waiting to hear more!!!!:happytv:

Goofster- glad to hear you're back. I also love your TR- you have such a nice family! And yes, faking a mental breakdown probably would have been the safer bet!

DisneyDuet- I WISH we could go four times every year! Trust me, if I could I'd be there every weekend! Keep the scheming alive!

Oybolshoi- Thanks for reading! We were really disappointed that we didn't like Raglan Road also. We were really looking foward to it....there's always off nights though. I'm sure one day down the road we might try it again. Thanks for the congrats!

Tinkerbell's Mom- thanks so much. His dedication astounds even I :rotfl:

YAY! I enjoyed your last trippie so much, I can't wait to hear (read) how your latest trip went!

Great installment! :thumbsup2 You two are the cutest couple! Tell Jeremy he isn't the only one that gets wet on Splash Mountain! :sad2: I've finally had enough and won't go on it anymore! I'm always the one who gets off that d*mn ride soaked to the bone!

Can't wait for more!

-Michelle

Lovin' your trip report!

Wow, I am so glad to hear that I am not the only one who will go to great lengths to get out of work for Disney! But I have never done anything that elaborate. :thumbsup2

Oh, and adorable dog. So, so cute.

EvilDiva- thanks so much for reading. I'm so happy to hear you enjoy the report!

Michelle- hahaha I know what you mean. I always make sure to completely cover up, whether it be with a sweatshirt over my head, poncho, etc because inevitably we're always getting the big splash. I know I look silly but I love the ride and despise getting wet so.......poncho it is!

prncssmel- thanks for reading! Yes we've done some crazy things in our time for the mouse. My pup is flattered! Also, congrats on the upcoming wedding!

:rotfl: You do know...ummm...next time...he can just FAKE gagging noises in the bathroom at work and then roll around in pain on the doctors table! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: Poor (yet dedicated :thumbsup2 ) guy!

Your first day (so far) sounds like a lot of fun. What time did you get to your hotel? And I am so PROUD of you for getting the first shower! You rock! ;)

Looking forward to more!
