Hope this ankle brace is more successful than the last one!

I'm starting to feel like the "always a bridesmaid, never a bride" here -- clearly I need to sign on with people whose trips are further out than mine, since everyone keeps going without me! But I'm still looking forward to your trip with you, and hope you'll report on it after.

Well, i emailed my TA this morning to ask her a question about something. She answered it and then a few minutes ago she emailed me and told me that she's putting my documents in the mail tomorrow!!! Yay!!

My husband is funny. I was watching Bones earlier and he told me, "You know, you are going to miss this while we are on vacation." Oh no he didn't go there.... I forgot all about that. I'll have to remember to set my DVR. Of all the things to tell me about vacation and he picks that?

Not much else new going on. Just packing little bits here and there.

Second stop of the day in your PTR. I just checked the weather for Oct 4th and it seems that WDW is going to receive us with sunny 85 degree weather.

We had no internet when I got home from work last night. So, I went over my packing list again. I can't believe that we are this close!!

Yeah, it's a bit warmer than what it's been here. It's been in the low 80's, but I can't complain. LOL!!

LOL!! Yeah, I bought a couple different colors and forgot all about the lime green one until DH reminded me. I'm going to post a picture in a little bit. LOL!!

Okay, so were are 8 days and counting.

Well, in addition to my other duties at work, I do payroll for a few companies. I told them that I need their information by Monday next week. One of the people were fine with it. Said that she would have it to me sometime Monday. The other one? Lets just say that I'm not her biggest fan. She basically said that she would do what she could, but that she couldn't promise anything.

Really? Are you serious? I told her that I couldn't promise that the people would get paid. Because I usually do their payroll on Thursdays. Since I'm going to be flying out next Thursday I have to get it done early. She acted like she could really care less about my plans. Major attitude all the way around. She told me that my boss could always do it. Seriously? It's not like my boss doesn't have a million and one things to do already. Whatever. I'm not going to stress out over it. It is what it is.

Forgot to tell you -- we've started watching Bones. However we're also watching Doctor Who (eldest son is going nuts because we're not caught up to him yet) and Trigun (second son's current obsession) and Adderly(eldest daughter) and Phineas and Ferb (middle daughter's thing), plus we can only watch Bones and some of the others when hubby has time to join us, so not exactly rocketing along. But I really like Bones, so thanks for the tip!

And you know she'll blame your department if the checks are late. Although with an attitude like that, I'm guessing most of the people who work with her likely have her number by now. You've got the right attitude for coping with her, I think.

See, you're a realist. I would totally be expecting it before she's likely to send it, because I'd Want It Now Now NOW, therefore it should magically be there, right?

Yay for watching Bones!!! I really, really, really love that show. LOL!!

So far I most like Temperance and the relationship between Temperance and Angela, which I think are both a big part of why eldest daughter loves it. Middle daughter loves it because she's drooling over Booth. The rest of them like it because it's so well written, I think.

I haven't ever been able to get into Doctor Who. Although DS wants to start watching it so I might just have to. LOL! I remember the old one. I really did like it. That I do remember. LOL!!

I liked Jon Pertwee's Doctor, loved Tom Baker, was okay with Peter Davidson but drifted off about then. The "new" series definitely has picked up the pace a lot, which I like; less enthused by how they've "romanticized" the Doctor. But I suspect part of the reason I don't like TV shows that last for years is because I don't like changes I think illogical! Right now we're in the David Tennant episodes and I'm loving his relationship with Donna; but if they make a romance of that I'll be ticked.

I can't sing and wouldn't want to try. LOL!!

the early episodes are some of my favorites. I love the current stuff though. It is definitely a very well written show. Booth is very, very hot. Lol!!

I do that, too. But according to hubby, I kick into despair mode right before it should reasonably be showing up.

i like romance, but i like angst also. I might have to watch some of doctor who. I might be very, very surprised.

The new Doctor Who series is much angstier than it used to be. Which is part of the reason I like it, but sometimes Tennant's Doctor gets all angsty over silly stuff, IMHO. If you like Madame Pompadour more than I do, you might appreciate it better. It's also much, much creepier, when it wants to be -- the Weeping Angels are terrifying, and I'm sure glad I didn't see them as a little kid!

Okay, so here we are. Six days before vacation and I'm still waiting for our Mickey mail. Tapping my fingers somewhat impatiently. LOL!!

So, DH had to go to the doctor today. Yeah, it the same doctor that I go to. I love her and she's very, very sweet. I just wish her office staff didn't stink so badly.

I told Mike that I should have waited in the car for him. Because I've made enough of a stink that they know me there. By sight. Well, the doctor thinks that Mike has asthma. So, she's sending him to a lung doctor.

Well, her receptionist/assistant/whatever the heck she does, calls to make the appointment. He point blank tells her that we will be leaving on the 4th of October and won't be back until the 14th. So, what does she do? She makes the appointment for the 5th of October? Seriously??? He had just got done telling her that we would be gone. On vacation that week and she makes the appointment that day. Seriously?? This is starting to feel like some bad sitcom. Well, he tells her about it and you know what her answer was? Get ready for this. She told him that he can call and reschedule it. Are you freaking kidding me???

I very nearly said something to her. But had to bite my tongue because DH is very laid back. I very nearly went back into the office and found our doctor and said something to her. I didn't though. I could see the look on Mike's face. A mixture of pleading and come on lets go.

I did make a point to say, very loudly, if she wasn't going to listen to you she should have just shut the window on you. I got a dirty look from Mike at that point. LOL!! I don't care. I'm tired of people treating him like crap. Sometimes you just have to say something. Even if it's going to sound petty.

I mean seriously? How stupid do you have to be not to listen to someone? I really, really hate that woman. I wanted to give her the middle finger and tell her to kiss my behind..... She really irritates me. How she can work with the public is beyond me. She has no customer service skills and her people skills suck. She's very, very lucky that Mike was there. Because if he hadn't been I would have said something to her and asked to speak with the doctor. Because she really ticked me off doing that. She probably did it because of me saying something about the office staff on the last visit. The only thing that stopped me from mouthing off was Mike being there.

So, this weekend will be spent packing and doing laundry. I just love doing laundry. LOL!!
