Ok everyone, before I even get started here, I'm going to warn you that there's only 2 pictures. They are photopass pictures because I didn't even take my camera along with us. It's a Digital SLR, so it's kind of big, and I just wanted to be able to enjoy the evening with DH.
We rode back to the hotel with my mom and the girls after dinner and changed clothes. We knew the Magic Kingdom was open late that night and were showing Spectromagic and Wishes, so we headed back that way.
As soon as we got to the Magic Kingdom, I told DH that we HAD to ride the Haunted Mansion. We knew Anna wouldn't go anywhere near it, so we had to go during the only time we'd have without her. The line looked pretty long, but the posted time was only 20 minutes, and it didn't really even seem like it took that long. The Mansion looked really spooky in the dark too......I'd never seen it that way.
Now, I admit, I'm not a crazy follower of this ride like some people are, but I do enjoy it, and, to me, it really showcases the Disney magic. DH though the effects were really cool, and he loved the part at the end with the hitch hiking ghosts.
When we got off, we decided to head to the one other headliner ride that we hadn't been on yet...........Space Mountain. The ride showed a 60 minute wait, but we ended up waiting closer to 90. It seemed MUCH longer than that because we had these two teenage girls in front of us who were incredibly annoying. I had to stop DH from saying rude things too many times to count. Then, after like 45 minutes of waiting in line, one of the girl's mothers came and butted right on in line with them! You might think that having a mother there would improve their behavior........not at all the case. All it did was explain their behavior

.
Finally, we made it up to the front. The ride seemed awful short to me, and DH wasn't very impressed. However, to me, this is another one of those rides that you have to ride at Disney........next time we'll just be sure that we make it there BEFORE they run out of fast passes!
When we got off, we were able to ride Buzz Lightyear and Stitch's Escape without any wait. I can't say that I enjoyed the Stitch ride, but I'd never ridden it before, so at least now I can say that I did. The burp smell was HORRIBLE!!!!
When we got off, we grabbed some popcorn and took a quick ride on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. It was a nice way to sit back, enjoy the ride, and just talk with each other for a little while.
It was almost time for Wishes to start when we got off, so we headed back toward the castle. That's when these pictures were taken

. I knew we needed a picture in front of the castle, and it turned out really well.
We got to the front of the castle hub just in time for the fireworks. They were beautiful, and I loved the music. DH enjoyed the fireworks, but he definitely did not enjoy the crowds afterwards. He is not a big fan of large amounts of people, and he really hates being crowded in tight spaces. We managed to get pushed/escape into Casey's because DH decided he was hungry, and we figured that might be a good way to let some of the people pass.
DH got a hot dog combo meal, and I introduced him to the wonderful thing that is Disney cheese. He hadn't known it was there, but he was very happy that I pointed it out to him.........it made the fries so much better. I mostly kept him company and ate his Cracker Jack.
We talked about staying to see Spectro, but DH wasn't in the mood for even more crowds and then having to push through the crowds to get on a bus. So, after his snack, we headed out. I have forced him to agree to seeing Spectro with me in January though because I really want to see it. However, I was pretty tired too, so I didn't protest too hard, and we grabbed a bus and headed back for the hotel.
Up next, our last full day at Disney..........DHS.
