Hi everyone! I have been lurking on this board for a few days and have bookmarked lots of your suggested scrapbooking web sites!

Yesterday I started my first scrapbook. Last March, after 7 heartbreaking years, my DH and I were blessed with our miracle baby Madelyn Grace. She is the child we thought and the doctors thought we would never have. So this scrapbook is dedicated to her but I need a title for it. I want it to be a special title, not just Madelyn's First Year.... Any suggestions?

I haven't done the title page, but the first two page spread is her footprints that the hospital gave me and her newborn 8" x 10". I used mounting paper, borders, stickers etc... I plan to add other 8" x 10" portraits (3 month, 6 month, Christmas etc) with regular sized photos of her activities portraits in between portraits.

Thanks!!

How about?

The Miracle of Madelyn's first year

Titles always seem to escape me, I'm sure someone here will be able to give you some more creative ideas. Welcome to scapping its very addicting.

I know!!! My friend is a Creative Memories consultant and she gave me a scrapbooks, tape, alphabet and girl's first year stickers, borders/matts, corners etc.. as a gift when I had Madelyn. It sat in her closet for the last 7 months until I got used to the routine of being a new mother. Now I am ready for a new hobby! Yesterday I went to the Ben Franklin craft store and spend $60 for more supplies. So yes, it is very addictive. And I do like your title suggestion. ::yes::

Not sure where I got this I think it was from some quote site but you may want to use this somewhere in your album too...

A Baby girl...

One of the most beautiful miracles in life, one of the greatest joys we can ever know, and one of the reason's why...there is a little extra sunshine, laughter and happiness in your world today..

Congratulations. Happy scrapping the fun has just begun!!

How about a song? I printed the words to "Masterpiece" (You are a masterpiece...from your little tiny hands to your little tiny toes...You are the masterpiece He created you to be...) for each of my kids' first year albums. Is there a song that would be close to your heart to put in there?
Congratulations!! Motherhood is truly an amazing gift, isn't it?:D

How do you like

"A Star is born" you could then use stars and clouds for cover.

ooh, ooh! I thought of another idea. I put a letter from me to each child as the last page in their books. But why couldn't you start the album that way? You know, one of those mushy, make you wanna cry, how much we wanted you and love you, kind of letters.:teeth:

Disneylvr let me say Congratulations to both you and your DH. How exciting after a 7 year wait. I love reading stories like this.

I think a simple title like "The Miracle of Madelyn Grace" says it all.

Remember do some journeling also on the pages, and add your feelings to the journeling. There are lots of exciting moments ahead and by adding how you feel at each of these times not just a title brings the page to life.

There are some great ideas on journeling. When I'm journeling my special feelings I like to use folded card stock. Photo on the top, opening to your feelings. This is a great way of writing down your feelings.

Happy Scrapping to Mom, Dad and Madelyn Grace.

Congratulations on your new baby. May I suggest
"Our Little Miracle" and on the opening page have a copy of her birth certificate. Then go into all that you have been
doing to get her here such as Dr vests. Or do that first than have the picture of the birth certificate or a picture of a positive pregnancy test. What ever way you decide to do it, I am sure you will have lots of fun.

Thank you. It sure is!!! I apologize for not getting back to my thread for a few days. I have been taking care of dd who has a bad stomach virus. She has had a rough fall/winter of illnesses. Anyway, I did have time to do a few scrapbook pages while I was home with her. I love all your ideas!!! Now I have to decide which idea to use. Thank you all so much!!!!

for the foot print page. I would write: God gave us Grace to see how her footsteps will change the path we take. in this Blesse life.
