A new restaurant ?

Tonight a family member told me about a new restaurant that her boss ate at in Disney. She said she thought the name was T-Rex and said it was in the "main" park where the stores are. She said the dinosaurs move around in the building. She said a steak cost around $30 but the food was great.

I have found nothing about this. Has anyone?

T-Rex is located at DTD. We ate there in Dec and the food was pretty good. It's a theme type resturant with all the dinosaurs and surroundings. It's a nice place to try, but one I could take or leave. Kids love it. They also have a build a dinosaur store attached to it.

Yes, it's at Downtown Disney, not in any of the parks. So you don't even need to be a Disney guest to dine there. Because DTD is open to anyone, anyone in the Orlando area could visit T-Rex. And if I remember correctly, it's owned/run by the same people who own Rainforest Cafe.

T-Rex is a themed, restaurant like Rainforest Cafe except with dinosaurs. I've heard good reviews about the atmosphere, and would definitely go if you have kids who are into dinosaurs. I've also heard that the food was decent, but not great. Expect the type of food you'd find at any chain restaurant.

They gave out samples of the ravioli prior to opening and it was good. It is very loud and a little pricey. You can walk in and see it.

ITs in downtown disney. I think it is by the Lego store. I cant remember for sure last time I was there they were building it.

Thank you all for responding. Sounds like the grandsons would like it more than I. Especially the noisy part. We will be staying at SSR so will be right across the street-maybe we'll get a chance to visit T-Rex.
