Yes, calling all Q & C vouchers experts, I have an interesting question that I have NEVER seen before.

Suppose you are using you rQ & C at a true counter service restaurant, and there is no true "waitstaff"

As you are aware, you pay and you get your food, and find a table.

Now with the Q & C as you all know, desert is included. If you got everything at once, wouldn't the ice cream or any other frozen deserts melt before you got to finish your entree?

Now would they allow to order/pay with voucher, and then retreive the ice cream later.. or are my kids stuck with doing backwards meals.. desserts first, entree second?

How would you attempt this?

We didn't have a problem at Beaches And Cream since they spaced everything out.. but was wondering at others..

Thanks!

Do you think your kids would have a problem eating the ice cream first?:D I'm sure if you asked them nicely they may be willing help you out.

Keep in mind the vouchers are used with people who have some of the meal plans. I don't know the answer but I'm sure the question has come up. Just ask at the counter place and I'm sure they'll work with you.

This also isn't a problem at Pepper Market because you can go up to each station at your leisure and have your ticket stamped. You don't pay until you are ready to leave.

Also, a lot of places have non-ice cream type desserts like apple pie, so maybe that is another option.

I'm sur e my kids would eat the ice cream first.... but then the entree gets ruined. I'm sure I could talk to the person ordering at the counter service restaurant how we want to do that. maybe ring it up, put it aside, and take it as we finish, or not ring it up, and then add it later to the actaul voucher bill.

I'm glad to know about Pepper Market. that is one of the places we wanted to go.

We've asked at several places and have been told we need to take our dessert when checking out..they have suggested pie or cookies. They had pie a la mode at the AllStars, and I hated taking it without the ice cream, but there was no way around it, short of eating dessert first (been there, done that too!).

We ate at Pirates and El Perico (I know I'm butchering the name), and the cashier let my husband get ice cream later.

Man, I thought there would be a way around that... I know my kids wouldn't mind eating desert first!

I'm not a big pie fan..I just don't like it. My DD is allergic to apples so can t do apple pie either.

So this was at the All Stars, were there any other places that refused to do it that way), I don't mind the Mickey rice crispies or the cookies,or even the baklava (at Tangieiere) or a root beer float also..

I think another place that said no was Columbia Harbor House..sI think I took an ice cream bar anyway, and it was air conditioned enough that I think it didn't melt...or it has so many preservatives LOL.

We mostly use them at Beaches and Peppermarket, which are sit downs...and the best value in any case...and the best desserts : )

Yes, Pepper Market and Beaches & Cream.. are on our must do list. Columbia Harbor is another one on the list, same with Tangierene and Yakitori. We also want to try Mara at AKL.. if anything just to scope out the resort. !
