This morning, our local paper had an article on the recent Star Wars additions to the park and a map that highlighted an area of land recently purchased by Disney across from the entrance to the resort. I heard about this purchase on the Disneyland edition of Disunplugged podcast, as well as mention of a pedestrian bridge that would go over S. Harbor Blvd and connect this aqcuired land to the resort entance. To me this sounds like a Disney owned and operated resort. Why else would they build a convenient bridge? Has anyone heard anything about a new resort, possible DVC?

Exciting stuff if true! :banana:

I thought it had been confirmed that land had been bought for a large multi level car park

yea they definitely need to make the car parks more exciting. Like if you have to park at the top you can freewheel down a slide to the bottom. Then even the parking would be an attraction.

Interesting......I'm going to take a wait n see approach.popcorn::

You forgot to mention the gift shop at the bottom of the slide, and the photographs that would be taken along the way (available in the gift shop for a nominal price).

I'm 99% sure that particular piece of land is going to be for cast member offices & the like. Since they are eliminating some existing backstage offices to build Star Wars land, they need to move those employees somewhere. I've heard that plan mentioned on several websites & some podcasts. Your theory of a new DVC resort is much more exciting though!
