A Mouse, Two Little Minnows who wear out Grumpy and Test Track Moves to Naples 11/26

I love the costumes :rotfl::thumbsup2. It looks like ya'll had a blast. Dale doesn't dance either, so if I get to dance it is always with someone else. Kinda glad he doesn't attempt it, he looks like a monkey trying to fight it's way out of a sack.......:rotfl2::lmao:

Getting caught up. Great costumes Kathy. I really like Mark's. :rotfl2:

Is it wrong that I am now singing "Do the Hustle"? :rotfl2:

After I got done looking at the Halloween party pictures I realized that I had the Bee Gee's "You should be dancin'" going through my head.

Thanks, Dana. We did have a blast. Your description of Dale just about fits Mark. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks, Glen. Actually, we danced to the Bee Gee's "You Should Be Dancin" several times that night. ;)

Okay, as you all know, we spent over 1/2 olf our vacation with my BFF, Nicki. Nicki and Todd are leaving for Disney on Friday and she has her "pre-dining review" thread up. If you all want to read really great and fun dining reviews, this is the place. Here's the link: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2591772

Thanks for the link, Kathy. I've ben looking forward to this. Hope you're having a great weekend.

I guess we are overdue for an update, so here we go.

We are up to Day 9 of our vacation--Sunday, the 26th.

After our adventurous day the day before -- shopping, lots of coffee stops, car accident and dinner, we decided we were going to sleep in and not meet Nicki for coffee. Nicki and I both knew that we were going to need a leisurely morning with some rest and knew we'd have coffee the next two days.

So Mark and I slept in until about 9 a.m. We showered and then headed off to Starbucks to bring coffee back to the condo and then have breakfast on the patio. Mark had some fruit and yogurt and cereal and I had some toast. We sat and just enjoyed the view and saw a few dolphins swimming in the distance and then got into our suits to go down to the pool.

We stayed down there for about three hours before going back upstairs for lunch. Here are some pictures from our day at the pool:

Yes, my husband is playing "fishies" in the pool all by himself (sometimes I do wonder about him....
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:).

A couple more views before going upstairs for lunch and a little siesta:

Right before we went upstairs, Nicki texted me to see how I was feeling. I texted her back that I was fine and that we were at the pool. I asked her how she was and she said fine; she and Todd had taken pictures of the car's damage and were just chilling all day. It was a good day to just sit back and relax.

We had a very light lunch and then took a nap. After I woke up, I did a load of laundry and sat and read my book on the patio.

We started to get hungry for dinner but really had no idea where we wanted to go. Mark suggested we go to the place where he had gone with Nicki and Todd in April. So we got in the car and headed there. However, when we got there, we found the place was closed until October 1 (a lot of restaurants close during "off season" we've learned). So we ended up here:

Now, I have to tell you, we did not like the one we had in the burbs of Chicago at all and I was a little hesitant. But we were hungry and it was there and the prices weren't bad, so that is what we decided on.

I started with a nice tasty Pina Colada:

ALERT: No food porn (I promise next year will be totally different while on the Island...there will be food porn!).

We started with the mozarella sticks which were really good. Mark had the crab cake dinner which he said was AWFUL! I had fried shrimp figuring I couldn't go wrong with that--they were typical fried shrimp. It wasn't our best meal of the trip, but it was okay.

After dinner, we thought of going miniature golfing, but it was so HOT and HUMID, that we decided to go to Starbucks for my afternoon coffee and Mark went to Cold Stone Creamery for some pecan ice cream (he wasn't crazy about the ice cream -- said that Baskin Robbins is MUCH better.

We decided to go down to the dock and see if we could find any manatees. We didn't see one tonight, but it was a beautiful, clear night and we did see a couple of dolphins in the distance and lots of different birds.

We went upstairs and watched television for awhile and then went to bed as we were meeting Nicki in the morning for coffee (and the first of our "goodbyes") and going to the beach for the last time this trip.

Looks like another relaxing day!!!!

That is the way to do it- hit Disney first then go relax. It is like having a second vacation while you are still on vacation!

Sorry your dinner wasn't great. Those are the chances you take while you are on vaca though.

Your one of 'first goodbyes'????? I wonder how many of these we will hear about before the final goodbye???? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Okay I found it !!!I was getting worried all this talk of us having "CRABS":scared1:Of course my first reaction was MARV!!!!!!!:rotfl2:But he was innocent !!This time Marv just this time !!!
Hey, I know for a fact I've been crab free for at least the past two years...... ;)
Very true, Rosie. Very true. ;)
See, I knew you appreciated my wise-cracky talents..... :rotfl:
I know YOU are always here. As you and I discussed the other day, the DIS seems to be really slow lately and not a lot of people posting anymore.

Or you could update your PTR once in awhile. :lmao::lmao:
Oh sure, I come in here and try to check up on you and I get insults??? :sad2:
I've got a few days left in me.
Nope.....too easy...:rolleyes1
Let's have a "crab party" somewhere. :)
:scared1:
I'm with you on that one, Marv.
Great minds??? :)
I guess we are overdue for an update, so here we go.
Uh Oh, I guess I'm on the clock now......

Looks like you two had the pool all to yourselves. You should have been playing with him.

Oh wait, that probably doesn't sound right does it......

Nice start, but you need to try one of mine...... :woohoo:

It's terrible when you get the crabs and you can't even enjoy it.... :rotfl2:

Thought you said no food porn.....:confused3 Isn't that one of the basic food groups??? :rotfl:

Sounds like a very relaxing day. Nothing wrong with that!!! :thumbsup2

Ahhh...very relaxing update. I feel more mellow just having read it. Which is good, since it's Monday and I'm sitting in a cubicle.

I want Nicki to pick those dates but I am afraid they are going to be later than we will be there and that makes me :sad2: Maybe you and Mark need to take a trip to AZ when it is COLD and SNOWING in Chicago....

I told Mark this and his eyes lit up. Then he said, "remember when I took Andy right after Christmas for a baseball camp at ASU?, it was colder in AZ than it was in Chicago." :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I love those types of day...just laying by the pool without a care in the wrold.

It won't be too many goodbyes.....

What a wonderful, relaxing day!

Yes, it was.

Some great pics! So easy to relax when that is your scenery. :thumbsup2

I was so relaxed that I kept getting up to walk around because I was afraid I'd fall back to sleep and then wake up looking like a lobster.

No, Marv...that doesn't sound right. But I was in the pool with Mark but don't have a waterproof camera to take the camera in the pool. ;)

Here's to sleeping in and lounging by the pool! :thumbsup2

A perfect day!

Great relaxing day !! I tried the link for Nikki's revies and it didn't work????

Thanks, Rosie. I fixed the link...it should be okay now.

I know what you mean, Mark. I'm at work and just looking at the picture of the pool relaxes me (although I'd certainly be more relaxed if I was back there).

First, thanks for the shout out on my dining review thread...you are too much woman!

You never realize how amazing Marco Island is when you live here...when you see someone else's pictures of this paradise then it hits you...I LIVE HERE! I can see this everyday, I can enjoy this every single day...but then you get up and go to work 5-6 days a week and you forget :lmao:

I am as brown as a berry right now, been hitting the pool every weekend since you left and tanning myself silly..but now it is too cold, just 75 today BRRRR!

And I will not say I told you so but I TOLD YOU SO! You should have gone to Grouper and Chips instead of Joe's Crab Shack (remember you told me you didnt like that place) so I was blown away when you told me you guys ate there :scared1:

I think you should get a tattoo..Pooh drinking a Starbucks

Glad to give you a shout out, BFF.

"It's just 75 today." Oh, please. I'll take 75 compared to the 40's and 50's we've been having any day. You'll get no sympathy from me on that one, sweetie.

Now there is an idea...a Pooh drinking a Starbucks, tattoo. I'll run that one by Romeo and see what he says. ;)

Have to agree. Only 75? That's terrible!!! :sad2:

As for the tattoo, just don't get it on your backside. Discussion about pooh on your butt should be reserved for babies still in diapers!!! :rotfl:

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: You have a very good point there, Marv. :rotfl2::rotfl2:
I know how you like to be the center of attention, so if you decide to go with the tat, get it on the bottom of your foot. I can just see the reaction now. You are laying out at the pool with Nicki and this little girl announces really loud, "Look Mom, that lady has pooh on the bottom of her foot!!!"
