What a wonderful story, and how sad that the other family didn't see the magic in the experience that you did. I find myself so engrossed in the children on the busses/monorails that are glowing from experiences like you mentioned. My DD is a teen now and that sort of magic is a thing of the past with her now. So I find it thoroughly enjoyable to hear stories from the younger kids on their way to or from a character meal, meeting their favorite characters, etc. What goes around comes around. That's the magic of Disney. You do something nice for others and you get a nice surprise in return.
