Today was to be another pottering day...
John's Pass - trinkets and trash. GF finds a couple of pairs of linen trousers for a few dollars. Then, onto Tampa's International Plaza - another posh mall similar to the millennia mall. Got another digicard of pics burnt onto cd. GF visited Victorias Secret again???? Does anyone really need more than 8 pairs of pants!?
Dropped the ladies off for more shopping at the Tyrone mall and us blokes went to Biff Burger. Biff Burger is a sort of drive thru diner place which has a Hot Rod / Custom Car day every Friday. Some amazing vehicles here. Hot Rods and souped up street machines. However, I prefer the stunning classics, beautifully restored by real enthusiasts. Fell in love with an AC Cobra. I want one. Not a sensible car for the daily grind to work in the UK, but what a wonderful way to cruise along the old Route66.
On our way out we noticed a Rolls Royce. Park on the edge, being ignored by all. British Pride, we went over. Immaculate condition. The owner was extremely happy to have someone show an interest in his beloved car. Made even happier to discover we were English. I realised that the enthusiasm he had might have been tainted by the amount of alcohol hed obviously drunk. He kept dropping his car keys and staggering a lot. Jeez, is he going to drive this thing home?
Went to Applebees for dinner. Not sure if many readers will be familiar with this chain as I cannot recall seeing many. We shared a sampler platter for starters. I had an aztec chicken salad, ribs, fries, slaw and beans. Ribs were not great. Seem to be having some not-so-great meals this holiday. When the waiter finally acknowledge that I was old enough to have a beer (and in fact was 50% older than he was!) I ordered a Coors. Only to receive 2 as it was on special. Forgot this and ordered another beer later, again I received 2
Bed by 11.45 - A good nights sleep is needed as we have another Disney day tomorrow
