A Marvelously Vague Breakfast Buffet Question

I remember reading in a WDW guide I no longer have that there is a WDW resort that has a restaurant featuring a Breakfast buffet in the neighborhood of $8 - $9 for adults. This was a 2000 guide so the prices are probably higher. I seem to remember that it was near MK and might have been in Wilderness Lodge or Wilderness something or other. Can anybody tell me what the heck I'm talking about? If so, how early is breakfast served? Unless I'm totally wrong about all of the above, we'd like to drive over to this place early some AM in Nov., cram a days worth of food down our gullets and be at MK for the opening. Sound possible?

YOU are SO correctly INFORMED:teeth:

It is the Trails End Buffeteria at the FW campground. We had dinner there a few months back and it was pretty darn good. I'm sure their breakfast is good too and the do have the cheapest buffet prices in WDW.

Here ya go...details, details straight from Deb Will's site:
BREAKFAST
7:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M.

All-You-Can-Eat Buffet includes:
coffee and hot tea

Scrambled eggs
sausage
bacon
hash browns
sausage gravy with biscuits
French toast
fresh fruit
donuts

Price: $8.50 Adult; $5.50 Child (3 - 11)

Continental Breakfast also available: $5.50

ENJOY!!!!!

Keep in mind the menu is subject to change, the price may also be a bit higher, the above info is from Feb 2002 so it wouldn't be much different:)

Thanks, jwfla422,

That goes right on my calendar!

We love Trail's End. It's good country cooking. Enjoyed the breakfast and dinner as well. Hope you enjoy it. I'll be going there on my 11/2002 trip.

Remember to allow extra time to get to FW and then to the MK. You will have to leave your car near the Ft. Wilderness entrance and take the internal bus to the restaurant.

You might find this post from the Transportation Board interesting - the poster (staying at FW) was asking if driving or taking the boat to the MK was faster.

Chip n' Dale Express is a Disney transportation employee. Believe he currently drives a bus and has operated monorails in the past.

We haven't eaten at Trails End for quite some time (too much travel time for us as we usually do not have a car), but we liked the food and thought it a very good value when last we ate there.

Enjoy your trip!

We went to this buffet a while ago, but I can't remember which trip!

The buffet is a good deal. We were bothered by a lot of flies though, that wasn't fun.
The transportation issue is a problem. It was HOT when we were there and it took forever waiting for the boat to MK both ways. We had parked at Fort Wilderness so we had to go back there. By the time we got back to our car, my husband looked like he had jumped in the lake with his clothes on.
