A Magical Gettaway~ A June 2012 Mother/Daughter Trip! PTR- 7/5 Link to TR!!!!!

Judging by the pictures I'd say your camera is pretty awesome! :yay: I love the cat photos (I love cats so much, they're so adorable)!

Thanks!! Haha, I love them too! They're just so precious!

POFQ is amazing! The reason it holds a dear place in Emma's heart is because it was the very first place we stayed on her first visit when she was only three years old! We won't change, love, we'll keep it!!! And I love your pics except the snowy one brrrrrrrr!! Hahaha!! Can't wait to get home and plan with you!!! XX

:goodvibes Yay! I love that resort! I can't wait till you get home either!

Love your pics! I think you're going to get some great shots at Disney! :thumbsup2

Awww, that is so sweet! I truly hope my son will still go to Disney with me when he's 19. He just turned 4 in March & I already worry about him not wanting to do Disney (or anything else) with me & DH once he hits his teen years. :sad2:

I'm so excited to hear if y'all still love POFQ! I really don't want to change resorts.......again. :rotfl:

Thank you!! I'm sure he'll love it as he gets older! Maybe not right away, like me, but as he nears his 20s I'm sure he'll really appreciate it! :goodvibes Don't worry, we're not changing! ;)

A little non-Disney TR for you all! My Dad’s family had scheduled a family trip to Virginia in March during my spring break, and I was soooo excited to use my new camera!! I’m still getting used to how it works, but here are some of the shots…

First we visited the Richmond Zoo. WARNING: If you do not like to look at a sickening number of wild animal pictures, just keep scrolling!

So, if you weren’t bored out of your mind, stay tuned for the rest of the PTR!

Oh you just took me back! We took a trip to Colonial Williamsburg and Gettysburg when I was in high school and it is still one of my favorite family vacations. Gettysburg was so eerie, don't ya think? So cool :)

And I stole that picture of the baby monkey to use on my desktop for now...thanks...so adorable!

Hi! Joining in your PTR! How fun to take a mother-daughter trip! I'll be staying at POFQ for the first time in October, so I'm looking forward to seeing your photos from there. Loved the pics from the zoo and from Colonial Williamsburg (I'd love to go there someday!). Your WDW plans look great. :thumbsup2

OH MY GOSH!!! Umm, first of all, you were totally in my city! I live in Richmond. How funny! I've been to that zoo many times and have fed those exact giraffes! SO CRAZY. When was your spring break??

I'm happy you're getting to go back to Disney World! Two years is way too long between Disney trips.

I love your new camera! Those pictures are awesome!

That camera really takes pretty pictures! And it seems like y'all had a very nice trip. I would love to go to Colonial Williamsburg one day. Ed & I both love history. Once Reid is a little older, we'll probably do Disney every other year & in our non-Disney years we'll do vacations like that. But, I want him to be old enough to understand at least a little & appreciate it.

Hi Emma! Followed you over from my TR. I didn't realize you were Zuzu03's daughter! :goodvibes

After our recent trip, I am determined to buy a new camera and ditch our point-and-shoot. Your pics just confirmed my plan!

Hi Dave! I love how we "run" into people on the different threads! Are you having Disney withdrawals yet? I'm sitting at the airport right now waiting for our flight home :( But it'sgreatto be plannin another trip so soon! Letting Emma manage most of this one - she's in training, so to speak! Like you, I'm just a tad obssessive when it comes to planning our Disneytrips, so it'll be fun to go with the flow this time. :thumbsup2

Oh I love Williamsburg! It's so pretty! And YES! I totally agree with the eeriness of Gettysburg! I love it though! :goodvibes

WHAT!? That is so funny! I had no idea!! I love giraffes sooo much! Our spring break was March 4-11, and we drove out the 8th and came back on the 11th. Oh and we found this little frozen yogurt shop called Sweet Spoon in Richmond and OMG it was the most amazing thing EVER!!!! :cloud9: Have you ever been there?? The owner is really sweet, she's from Korea and she and my brother (also from Korea) talked a bit. I guess she has another shop in California and this one just opened! OMG is it delish!!!!

I am so happy too! I agree! Things were just so busy, but it is definitely necessary for a time out! :goodvibes And thank you! I love it too!!

Thank you! We had a great trip! It was relaxing and nice to explore a new area! We love history too! I just think going to those places are so cool!! You should totally take Reid when he's older! It took my brothers a bit to realize how cool it actually is, but by the time we were done I think they enjoyed themselves.

Yay!! Welcome! Totally ditch your point and shoot! These have such better quality, and will last longer! It's such a small world! :goodvibes Love it!

Haha, thanks Mom! I need some practice! :thumbsup2

Hahaha that's just hilarious! I'm glad you had a good time here! That zoo is so fun. Those monkeys near the entrance are crazy! I've never heard of Sweet Spoon! I don't live in like downtown Richmond, more of the 'suburbs' even though it's not really suburbs. Hard to explain haha. Anyways, that may be why I've never heard of it? I'm gonna need to look that place up, it sounds awesome. :)

We really did! It was awesome! I love those monkeys! :goodvibes OMG it is amazing! I don't really know exactly where it is, but I do know it was on the way from the zoo back to our hotel. We had eaten at Five Guys for lunch and decided to shop around a bit and then we discovered HEAVEN! :lovestruc It's truly amazing! :rotfl2:

Hi everyone!

As of Saturday at 5:30pm, I was officially FINISHED with my first year of college! Can I get a whoop whoop?! :cool1: Yep that's right I am a college sophomore ladies and gentlemen! And it feels GOOOOOOOD! :goodvibes Yesterday was all about unpacking, and I am still not done! :rotfl: Talk about a lot of stuff! I just don't have room for it here!!

Now it's off to find a job this summer! Which, of course as you all know is a difficult task, however I do have an "in" at a local insurance company (i.e., DBF's Mom) and I've (almost) scored another position there for the summer! :hyper: Which is great, and I really hope it's full time because last year I worked part time for this company as well as at a local grocery store. I REALLLYYYY don't want to work at that grocery store again, so I'm crossing my fingers that my office job will be full-time. It's really boring office work :surfweb:, but it pays well and hey: it's a dang job! I start on Monday May 7th at the office, so this week I may have more time to plan our trip! Next up is food! :bitelip:

Whoop Whoop!! :thumbsup2 Congrats and hope you have a great summer! Oh wait, you're going to Disney - of course you're going to have a great summer. ;)

First of all, I apologize for not getting on here all week! I've been so busy getting ready for my job which starts on Monday (i.e., getting on the payroll, signing papers, etc.).
HOWEVER! I have some GREAT NEWS to share with you all. Get ready.....

We booked our flights, and......

 WE GET TWO EXTRA DAYS IN DISNEY!

Oh yeah!!!! This means that we now leave on Wednesday the 20th at 4:30pm and arrive in WDW at 7:30pm on a direct flight (whoop whoop). We will now have ALL DAY on Thursday now! Coming home we leave Monday the 25th at 7:30pm and arrive home at 10:30pm also on a direct flight. Since we do have an extra day in the beginning of the trip, we needed to add an extra night, but POFQ was booked, so we're staying at a first..... POP Century! I've never stayed there, so I am excited to check it out.

Stay tuned for food updates! :)

Just reading your list of dining plans is making me hungry. I really need to eat something before heading out to work!

How about Boma on your resort hopping day? It'll also give you a reason to visit and tour AKL!

Don't forget to try their milkshakes at 50's Prime.

And as for Le Cellier - I'm a fan after trying it for the first time.

Hmmmm, great idea about Boma, Dave! We've rented a car (convertible!) for this trip so it'll be easy to pop over there and I do want to explore AKL! And we'll keep trying for 'Ohana! Thanks for the words of encouragement! Cross fingers!
