A MAGICAL Columbus Day Cruise Texas style 10/6/2012

Hi there ~ we just booked the 10/6/12 cruise out of Galveston and are super excited!!! This will be our first Disney Cruise, although we have been on a few other cruises. DH and I will be bringing our 2 sons and a daughter who will be ages 7, 5 and turning 2 (my daughter) on 10/13/12, just as we return to port! My boys are super excited now, I can only imagine how many times I will hear "how many more days..." during the next year and a half, lol. We will be travelling with our neighbors who have sons the same age as ours, so it will be nice to be able to tag-team the kiddos between the husbands and wives, especially our little one!

Can't wait - we are so excited! I love me some Disney and am sure we will not be disappointed!

Will be there!. We booked the 10/6 cruise while on our Dream cruise earlier this week. My DH and I will be taking an ADULT only trip to celebrate our
21st wedding anniversary. The kids aren't happy about it at all!

Can't wait - adult time and a 7 day cruise!

woohoo,welcome to all the new cruisers.Sorry for the delay in responding, we just got back Monday night from our Disney trip.Now we can focus on our cruises next year.Glad to have such a great group forming already.Can't wait till next fall.

thanks ginny,we had a great trip.Finally got done with the laundry,lol.We are really excited for our first cruise,guess we will be spoiled after doing a Disney cruise.Don't know if we will ever try anything else after we do this one,lol.

We are booked on this cruise! It will be my husband and I's second Disney Cruise (we sailed on the Wonder back in Oct 2000) but it will be the first for my twins and my mom! Only 453 days left to wait We had planned on going on the Dream but immediately booked when we found out about sailing from Galvaston! Just a quick 5 hour drive from Fort Worth. I am excited to not have to pay airfare and get to cruise for 3 more days! We will be celebrating our 13th anniversary while on this cruise (October 9th)

This will be my husband and daughter's 1st Disney cruise, I can't wait for them to experience it. We will be celebrating my mom's b-day onboard, Oct 12. I'm so excited that it's leaving from Texas, I love not paying for airfare Has anyone taken a cruise from Galveston, is it expense to leave the car at the port.

So glad you will be joining us. I think the port at Galveston is about $10.00/day. It is actually quite convenient to the terminal though I did leave my headlights on last time I sailed out of there. Fortunately a nice Texan helped me get my car started. Maybe we could introduce your four year old to my six and four year old granddaughters so she would have someone to play with if they are in the kids club. So excited just a little over a year. Hi, I hope everyone is doing well. I'm still suffering from post vacation blues. Nothing helps with that like planning another cruise though.

We're waiting for the tropical depression, yuck. We do need the rain. Last night the weather man said we might get 11" - 15" . Thankfully this morning the report was changed to ~8".

Well, I did it. I went to the Disney store last night and bought 2 DGD "princess" dresses for each night of the cruise. I am getting so excited and the one year away day is creeping up fast. I don't know how many times I can read the "secret tips" thread and the "don't forget to pack..." thread. I really should be working but I can't stop thinking about the Disney cruise. Last night we went and picked DGD up from school and she asked where we were going since I was in the car. Her mom told her guess. Her first guess was Disney! (the real answer was Rain Forest Cafe) not nearly as exciting.

can you guys believe it's almost only 1 year away,seems like we have been waiting forever!Mal sounds like you are getting things together already.We still need to get all of us our passports.Still not sure how that works,hope to figure it out soon.Anyone have any ideas on excursions their doing yet?We are thinking dolphin swimming at Grand Cayman port and Xplor park at Cozumel port.

I think we are going to do a swim with the dolphins with the grand daughters, DD is going to go swimming with the stingrays. Also husband and DD are going to go do a zip line. I am staying on the boat with the girls that day and we haven't decided what to do about the third port. It does seem like we've been waiting forever and I am just getting so excited. Are you going to do your excursions on your own or are you booking through Disney?
