Our last two or three trips to the World have been during Spring Breaks. While this allows us to drive and to stay the better part of a week, it has the downside of landing us in some of the larger crowds of the year, especially in the last couple of years when our Spring Break has been adjacent to Easter weekend.
About three months ago, my wife and I decided that we would plan a quick trip in January to take advantage of expected lower crowds and cooler weather. To minimize the time out of school for the kids, we decided that we would fly down on Friday afternoon, and return Tuesday morning, giving us three full days at the parks.
We didn't even tell our kids until a few days before the trip, which was a nice suprise for them. Despite a few pre-trip trials, we arrived at the Beach Club on Friday evening about 6:30 and were there until 8:30 Tuesday morning. Did the trip meet our expectations? In every way! Lower crowds? Yes, wonderfully so! Cooler temperatures? OK, let's just say we exceeded expectations on that one!

We were very pleased with our one-bedroom villa at the BCV, and the location and amenities of the BC in general. Repeat rides on our favorite attractions, some good musical performances
, and good ice cream
...What more could anyone ask for?
