A little vent about Disneystore.com

I ordered the cute Mickey Mouse egg ring. DS loves fried eggs and I thought this would be so fun to make MM shaped eggs for Christmas morning.

When I got my order I received a Snow White figurine play set but no egg ring. I e-mailed Disney. The first response I received was an "automated" response detailing their return policy. It said I would have to pay shipping to return. I e-mailed back and reiterated that this was there mistake and that I didn't feel that I should have to pay return shipping for their mistake. A very nice CM responded very quickly that the egg ring is now sold out so they credited my account.

Can I take it to the Disney Store without a receipt and get store credit?

Oh, I can donate it to Toys for Tots! Does anyone know if the retail locations have the egg ring?

Usually if I get something that wasn't mine, they tell me I can keep it, and not have to return it. It happened to me twice.

On another note, I bought one of those egg rings, and it didn't really work so well.

I believe they have them in the parks. I don't have the number - but sure someone here does. They would have the best stock if available.

I would just Google Mickey Mouse Egg Ring. I haven't been to a Disney store in a while, but it doesn't seem as if they'd carry kitchen products to any great extent - but I know I've seen Mickey cooking stuff in catalogs.

Are you saying that you received a credit for the cost of the ring and the shipping and now you want to get an additional store credit? You're right that it was the Disney Store's mistake, but they've corrected the mistake with your refund.

Most shopping centers have some kind of toy donation drop off, don't they? What a nice way to dispose of the item.

I understood that. She asked where she could find Toys for Tots so I was suggesting to look at malls and I was commenting on how I thought that was nice.

I was also a little confused about why she was asking about returning it without a receipt when she had already received a full refund.

I think donating it is a great idea. Shouldn't be hard finding a place to do that this time of year.

sorry - I guess I just read it differently: as though she was thinking it through and in the end realized that Toys for Tots was the answer - she said "OH" not OR - so I read it as a realization not an either/or.

I have to agree w/ PP! You dodged a bullet! LOL I have the egg ring also & it doesn't work. I just stick w/ my freeform Mickey head pancakes. Super easy & come out perfect every time! No gadgets needed.

Why exactly would you give a kitchen item to Toys for Tots? I would think most kids would not be happy to get that even it is shaped like Mickey. Why not just give it to Goodwill?

The OP ordered an egg ring, but got a Snow White playset instead. Disney shopping refunded price plus shipping because it was their goof, but they didn't require that the playset be sent back. Apparently OP's DS is not all that interested in Snow White.
