I realize that early december is a popular dvc time and we have travelled at that time before, however i was still surprised this morning. I called ms and was told that the only rooms left at the bwv were one bedrooms. i ended up with a one bedroom which was fine, but i was surprised. i remember calling at this time last year without a problem. so if you haven't called yet i wouldn't wait any longer.

Did you waitlist for what you wanted?

I think a lot of people book far off knowing that time period is popular and then back off their plans heading into banking deadlines etc.

Were you trying for a specific view or was that across the board that only 1BR was available?

cheers

IMO, the Holiday special that was done on the Travel Channel this year really opened a lot of people's eyes about how fun WDW is in December.....

With absolutely no scientific examination of the evidence, my bet is that more people will be at WDW during December in 2004 then ever before.......

The last few years have seen more and more members booking early December well in advance of the 7 month window opening. IMHO, this is especially true for the BWV. I think you were lucky to find a 1 bedroom!

If you want a studio, I agree you should get on the waitlist. OTOH, it is soooooo nice to be in a one bedroom.

Best wishes -

I agree - we were there during the first week in December and were quite stunned by the crowds, even found it difficult to get dinner ressies with only two people. A CM told us that the second week in December is usually lighter than the first.
