Yeah, but what if you left 5 minutes early (by your watch) and the clock on the way out was 6 minutes fast? You'd be charged $2. This was my point, that these clocks are not synched and it's impossible to know when your time is up. Yeah, yeah....I know that I could leave 20 minutes early to make sure, but that's not the point. The point is that Disney has probably collected thousands of dollars from guests over the almost three years of DD because of clocks that weren't synched to the same time.
I made management aware of this problem about two weeks ago and as of today, the clocks were STILL not synched and I have received no communication from anyone at Disney. I submit that the clocks will remain unsynched because it favors Disney and makes them extra money.
I would rather give my $2 to charity. I propose that Disney give all of the money that they have collected through the errant clocks to charity. It should be pretty easy for them to figure out how much that amount of money is. All they have to do is determine how many minutes the clocks are off and have their computers search the daily tickets and come up with the number of people that were charged for being over the amount of time that the clocks were off. If the clocks are determined to be 3 minutes off, then any ticket that was charged for 3 minutes or less would be added up. This way, you don't need to find the individuals who where wrongly charged. Disney could just make a contribution in the determined amount to a charity. In my business, (finance) this is called "disgorgement of ill gotten gains".
If these clocks aren't fixed in a couple of more weeks, I'll bring this up to the Orange County Register and let them check it out.
