Hi everyone.

I'm planning a trip next September, but I'm having real problems with my itinerary.

This is everything we want to do;

Magic Kingdom
MGM
Epcot
Animal Kingdom
Blizzard Beach
Typhoon Lagoon
Universal Studios
Island of Adventure
Sea World
Wet 'n' Wild
Daytona/ Clearwater
Discovery Cove

We're going for two weeks, spending one week on I-drive and one week on-site. I'd like to avoid the parks on a Saturday, as they're too busy for us, but with changing hotels, this shouldn't be a problem.

If anyone can help me with a seemingly impossible task, I'd be eternally grateful.

Hi Krystal,

We never bother with a plan, as we would only change it loads of times :)

As you have one week on site it may be a good idea to save your Disney parks till then.
This way when you are on I-drive you are very close to US/IOA/Sea World and it would be convenient to do them when you are staying there.

So maybe you could split your 2 weeks that way.

I-drive week = US/IOA/W&W/SW/DC
on site = Disney parks

You could possibly split one day between say AK and MGM, thus leaving a day free.
In addition , whilst we do not really plan too much, I would advise plenty of rest days, there is a lot to fit in above, but as you have a couple of days out planned they would make a nice change.

Clearwater is great, we love the beach there - I would suggest you fit a trip in on a rest day either week perhaps?

Hope you don't mind me being honest, but the last time we went to Daytona it was looking pretty run down in areas, in my opinion there is no comparison between the fantastic beach at Clearwater and the one at Daytona.

If you are going to CW, there is a fantastic bridge that spans St.Pete's Bay , called the Sunshine Skyway - well worth a visit.

Happy planning.

Hi,

I would agree that you should split your weeks between I-drive and Disney - this may help with your ticketing as well as you can go for 1 week tickets for universal and take the free Seaworld tickets with DC (this would mean a relatively early visit to DC).

September is meant to be one of the quietest months so I wouldn't go with too strict a plan but being familiar with the Extra hours days at Disney to either take advantage of them or to avoid the parks would be a good idea.

I agree 100% with tartangirl's suggestion :)

Buy Brits Guide to Orlando 2006 - digest it A to Z - read almost every night for at least 6 months :coffee: - and then you should be able to sort out an itinerary!!

You will be able to sort out at least 3 or 4 itineraries - but then you will always revert back to the original plan!! :rotfl2:

When you get there you will maybe stick to the plan for 2 or 3 days after which the kids will want to go somewhere else or get on the first bus (when staying on-site) that comes along and everything you have spent the last 6 months planning will be a waste of time.....!!!!

Hope this is of some help :thumbsup2
