A little help with AKL..

Hi guys,

I have been lurking on these boards for awhile, but I am in need of a bit of help.

I am secretly planning a trip to WDW for my wife's birthday. I wanted to make a reservation for the Animal Kingdom Lodge, because I know she would love it, and this would be our first stay in a deluxe hotel(or an on-site hotel at all, for that matter).

Anyway, the other times we have visited, we have stayed in off-site hotels and I am pretty clueless when it comes to any deals that might be had while booking a Disney hotel. I have researched some prices on different sites, but I wanted to know if there is some trick of the trade I might be able to use to get the best deal available? My itinerary is like this:

Arrive Friday, June 1st
Check out Saturday, June 9th

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

A resort spring discount that would cover those dates just expired about a week ago. Are your dates flexible? If so and you arrived on June 15 or after, there is a 25% off discount for AKL for the room portion. It saved us quite a bit of money. If you are a AAA member, you could use a AAA discount. I don't know of any other discount still available for your time frame. Maybe someone else can add to the suggestions. Good luck! We love AKL. It's our favorite resort hands down. So much to see and do. Hope you and your wife have a great time whatever you plan or do for her birthday.

You cannot combine discounts. The 30% off is better than aaa or free dining.

Go on the Disney website and on the right under Tickets and Packages there should be the option of special offers and that will let you know what promotions are currently going on. Have fun planning!!!

disney discounts are of their own doing. not alot of outside source discounts. not like expedia or like to find discounts.........

They have no problems filling rooms on their own........

No as a pp already said, no stacking discounts. Congrats on the 30% off.

The only other possibility would be if you are military affiliated. Otherwise, 30% is probably going to be the best you'll do.
